Chapter 22

Todays court day. Since im under 18, i have to take a legal guardian and since my moms out of town we're pretending Alex is my legal guardian.

I wear a royal blue tube dress and put my hair in a formal bun.

"Ready?" Alex asks and i nod as we drive to the courthouse.

When i walk in i look around and finally lay my eyes on Jack.

"Jack!" I cry as i run into his arms and he picks me up.

"Hi baby" he says to me.

Then we hear the gavel and take our seats. They put the cuffs back on him.

"Mr.Gilinsky, ms. Jones. Please rise." He says and we both stand up.

"I understand you, Ms.Jones are 16 correct?" He asks.

"Actually just turned 17 sir." I say.

"But at the time you got pregnant you were 16?" He asks.

"Correct" i say.

"And Mr.Gilinsky, your 18?" He asks.

"Yes Sir" Jack says.

"Um excuse me your honor? Can i please say something?" Alex asks.

"Go ahead." He says.

"I do not see how this is illegal. Its just a young couple in love! I mean id understand if she was 13 or 14 but shes 17 years old! Theres only like a year difference! There has been a series of tragic event for her and her family for the past several months and she is so very lucky to be granted with this miracle of a child. You can not just take away the love of her life for giving her this miracle."

"Thank you miss" he says and i look back at her smiling with tears in my eyes.

The court goes on until we finally find out if Jack is innocent or guilty.

"And the jury has voted that Mr.Gilinsky is indeed innocent. Case dismissed" he says and they take his cuffs off.

As soon as we exit the courtroom i jump in Jacks arms.

"I love you i love you i love you" i repeatadly say while i cry.

"I love you too" he says rubbing my back.

He puts me down and i walk over to Alex and give her a big hug.

"Thank you so much" i cry.

"No problem babe" she says smiling.

"I brought you a change of clothes so u can change out of that" i say pulling the clothes out of my bag.

"Thanks" he say giving me a quick kiss then goes to change.

I sit on the bench and wait for him and he comes out.

"Can Jack stay over?" I ask.

"Why are you asking me? Im not your mom" she says.

"Yes!" I say.

"Wait! As long as theres no sex. Im not gonna wake up to the sound of you guys moaning into eachothers mouths" she says.

"Ew" i laugh.

We drive to the house and see that my moms home.

"Hi mom" i say hugging her.

"Hey sweetie" she says.

"Hi Mrs.Jones" Jack says.

"Hi jack" she says.

"I told them he could stay the night. But i said no sex" Alex says.

"Um ok..." She says.

"I could go if u dont want me here" Jack says.

"No no, its fine" mom says.

"Ill just go" jack says.

"No, please?" I ask.

"Fine" he says.

We go upstairs to my room and i shut the door.

I sit at my desk with the mirror and start removing my makeup.

He comes up behind me and wraps his arms around my neck and kisses my cheek.

"What are you doing" i laugh.

"Nothing" he says. I finish taking off the makeup and throw my hair until theres a knock on my door.

"Coming" i yell.

I walk to the door thinking it was my mom or Alex but it was Sam.

"Sam!" I cry jumping in his arms.

"Hey" he says.

"Why are you back?" I ask.

"I finished the mission so ill be home for a little while. And i got you a birthday present" he says handing me a envelope.

I read the card and something falls out. I pick it up and read it.

"Holy shit! How did you get these?!" I ask.

"What is it?" Jack asks.

"Lana tickets!!!" I say. I get up and hug him.

"Samm!!" My mom yells and he goes downstairs.

"I got you something too" Jack says.

"What?" I ask.

He hands me a little box and i open it.

Its an infinity necklace with my birthstone in it. I smile really big.

"I love it" i say and kiss him.

"Here" he says taking it and putting it on me.

"Thank you" i smile.

"Your mom doesnt like me does she?" He asks.

"Yes she does! Why?" I ask.

"Because the way she acted when your moms girlfriend said i was sleeping over." He says.

"I think she was just stressed out" i say.

"Is it because the baby?" He asks.

"Actually..." I say.

"You didnt tell her?!" He asks.

"I havent had the time to! She only knew about carter getting me pregnant" i say.

"So you didnt tell her about the miscarriage either?" He asks and i shake my head.

"I didnt know how to tell her" i say.

"Why dont we tell her tonight? That way you can tell her and your brother and ill be there with you" he says and i nod.

"I love you" i say and he kisses me.

I put on a pair of sweatpants and a hoodie.

"Are you ready?" He asks.

"Not really" i say.

"Come on everythings gonna be fine and if its not, ill still be here for you" he says and kisses me.
