The doorbell rings and i open it.
"Evan your dads here to pick you up!!!" I yell.
"Trinity" he says.
"Gilinsky" i say.
"How are you?" He asks.
"Good. Where are you taking Evan today?" I ask.
"Paintballing" he says.
"Arent you a bit old to paintball?" I asks and he laughs.
Evan comes down the stairs.
"Hey dad!" He says as they do their little handshake thing and i roll my eyes.
"Do you wanna come with, mom?" Evan asks me.
"No thanks, im too old to paintball. And besides, i dont wanna ruin your weekend with your dad" i say.
"Oh come on Trinity, it will be fun!" Jack says.
I shake my head.
"Pleaseee" they both beg and i sigh going upstairs to change.
*Jacks P.O.V*
"Hey dad hope you dont mind but i invited a friend" Evan says.
"Thats fine" i say.
"Its his girlfriend" Trin yells and i laugh.
I sit on the couch and the doorbell rings.
"Dad, this is Andrea. She moved to Omaha about 2 weeks ago" he says.
"Hi Mr.Gilinsky" she says.
"Hello Andrea" i say.
Trinity walks down and looks beautiful like she always did. I still never fully agreed to our divorce. I only agreed to make her happy. I still wish things could go back to the way it was, when we were happily married.
"Ok guys get in the car" she says.
Evan and Andrea start walking to the car and we follow behind.
"Guess what?" Trin says.
"Huh?" I say.
"She just moved to Omaha. They met on the bus. Hes her first friend here. Does this story sound familiar?" She asks me.
"Hell yeah it does" i say leaning in and kissing her. Without regrets.
"What the hell? Jack we're divorced!" She says.
"That doesnt change the fact that i am still in love with you Trinity" i say and she smiles, grabbing my head guiding me to kiss her again.
"Getting divorced was the worst mistake ive ever made" she says.
"Agreed"
