Hello, my name is Kirstie Evans.

I'm a fifteen year old high school junior.

Right now, I'm at school... Tuesday. Feeling so bored. My best friend- Lisa Summers was bugging me about Prom; I didn’t want to go... but should I? Even if I did want to go, I don't have a date. None of the boys have asked me out yet, no letters were sent, no roses, nothing... I'm quite bummed out; Lisa has a date, of course. She has a boyfriend. An amazingly handsome boyfriend; you’d always find a childish smirk set across his face after a good tease, then his hazel brown eyes would twinkle along.

Lisa Summers had golden length hair, paired with the most posh, dark red lips; in addition her hour glass body is never so dissatisfying due to her 5’9 height. Oh heavens, she’s ludicrously alluring; no matter how many times I assured her of her flawlessness, she’d roll her eyes on me. I am currently writing in my custom made, leather journal while Lisa and her boyfriend were planning a three way date, meaning a date with me and the couple. That sounds like horror to me.

"Come on, Kirstie! I don't want to go there without my BFF," she says.

I decided to just shake my head while she put on a pouty face .

"I don't have a date, and I don't want to be a third wheel," I say, giving a stubborn look.

"I don't get it! You're a gorgeous girl! Stunning! Like a freaking model!!" She enthusiastically said, actually it was more of a shout. "I mean your five-eleven, maybe that's the reason... You might be too tall, and imagining you with heels would make you a six foot tall girl... But you also can wear flat doll shoes!”

"Geez... Thanks for your suggestion," I sarcastically say.

"No but seriously! Your hair is so lush! That Brunette hair that extends to your hips! And you have such beautiful skin! Glowing! And reddish lips, thick upper lashes, and beautiful, emerald green eyes," she pauses. "who wouldn't want to date you?!"

"Yeah... As if the last one went well..." I tell her.

She pauses her rambling as she suddenly remembered; her eyes scrutinized the hallway. "Look at the hallway..." She says, "Find a guy you sort of like, just find one guy," she commands me.

I'm not some dog you can command! I am not some low life you can just ask to do stuff!! I am your boss!! I am your superior!! I am your Queen!!! And you cannot command me, peasant! But okay...

I took a double take on the hallway, whilst sitting on the bench. I'm too lazy to actually surveillance it well enough. Someone caught my eyes... James Sutherland! Almost every girl has their eyes on him, I swooned. In my peripheral view, I caught Lisa roll her eyes on me. She shakes her head in disapproval.

"No... Look for another," she demands.

I did a double take, again. I saw in the farthest part of the hallway, sitting on a bench, alone, reading a book (most probably ‘The Hunger Games’) was an adolescent in a black hoodie hiding his face completely.

"What about that guy?" I pointed out, well I didn't point-point, pointing is sort of rude.

She looked and didn't see him. He stands out. It’s not that hard to see a boy, reading a book, with a hoodie. I've actually seen him before, well... I think I have. He just seems familiar. Lisa is still struggling to find him. I look at him again; he's starting to pack up his stuff. He puts a bookmark on the book first, and then puts it in his black, leather body bag, along with other school requirements. He's not a new kid, I can tell that much, he seems to know the way around people, and the place.

"Where? I can't see".

"He's the guy with a hoodie".

"Where?”

I look back and he was gone.
