Even though I should be, I wasn't finding waking up in a cell frightening at all. It just seemed to be normal to me since I have been in plenty of cells the past four years of being a slave. It was the same with all of them, they were all small and had at least a puddle of water in them from rain going through the small barred window that was the only source of light and it was either always really cold or really hot. This time, it was really cold, there was three stone walls and the fourth has thick iron bars and a door that was locked and could only be opened with a key and all the pain filled whimpers and screams that the other prisoners made as well. Me? I just stayed silent....I learned the hard way on how to act in a cell.

But what's worst about all this....I grip the chains that held my ankles together. The chains are back, it felt like I was living in deja vu, I could have my freedom for one minute and the next I was behind bars...rotting in a cell. I pull my knees close to my chest, my eyes staring at the puddle of red that is throughout the floor and leading to my cellmate in the corner looking as if he was barely hanging on.

I almost expect to be dragged out by my hair, given a board with a number on it on an old rope to hang around my neck and pushed in front of a crowd of people who shout how much they are willing to pay for me till they decide I have no more use to them. I set my head on my knees, my cellmate whimpers and moans every once in awhile, they have slashes all across their body which means they were obviously questioned and keep silent till they learned the hard way to talk.

It was turning dark, meaning that I only got a few hours left to live. And yet..I ain't going out without a fight, I know it seems like I should be hopeless. But when your freedom was taken from you for four long years and you finally get only a taste of it back before it is taken again...You want to have that taste again because I want that back. I want to forget Lord Solace, Aiden, the auctions, that scars..everything..But I can't seem to get away from being in a cell anymore. I hear footsteps suddenly in the hallway, I turn my head slightly towards the bars, my cellmate suddenly starts to tremble. I look at them, noticing that they are a man like I thought, but a young girl. She looks at me. I give her a small smile and her eyes widen slightly. I set my chin back on my knees as guards are dragging another unfortunate soul pass by our cell.

"Se..to?" My cellmate asks. My eyes look over at her. How does she...I shouldn't be surprised..I was quite well known back in the day. I wince again, the blight spreading further on my skin. I can feel it under my chin and on the side of my neck meaning it spread pretty far.

"Yeah?" I ask. My stutter seemed to disappear...I'm happy about that. She gives me a little smile, I can only see half their face because a hood is covering the other half.

"You were..at the marketplace...you tripped." She said. The what? I look more closely at her. Wait I do...I do recognize her. She lowers her hood more. "You..You look different."

"You were the girl that helped m-me the other day." I said. She nods. She crawls other to me, wincing as well at her wounds. She sits beside me.

"I was happy...you escaped. But..How did you end up..back in a cell?" She asks me.

"Because the Council are a b-bunch of assholes." I grumbled. She chuckles. She looks really dizzy and is pale, probably from the blood lost. She rests her head on my shoulder, which I don't mind, she looks like she had it rough. And when I eventually escape, I'm coming back for her. Without a doubt, she helped me when I needed it, so I should return the favor. Soon she falls asleep, I rest my head against hers, staring at the window as darkness overtakes it making is almost pitch black around the two of us. I feel her touch my hand.
