CHAPTER FIVE

The Phantom of The Opera's POV

America is a strange place. It's so much different than France. What is a 'Net-flick'? What does it mean when you 'ship' people? Do you put them in a box and mail them? This is so confusing.

I walked to my cabin and was surprised to see a man already in there. He had wavy blonde hair and blue eyes.

"Sup dude, I'm Fiyero." I shaked his hand.

"Hello Fiyero. I am Erik." I introduced myself.

"Soooo... It's lunchtime. Wanna grab a bite to eat?" Fiyero questioned.

"That would be delightful." I responded.

Fiyero and I made small talk while we were walking.

"Where do ya come from? I can here an accent." Fiyero asked.

"Paris, France. By the Opera House. It's outstanding there." I answered. "How about you Monsieur Fiyero?"

"The Vinkus. It's far away." Fiyero replied. We reached the cafeteria doors and walked inside. I scanned the crowd. My eyes landed on a green girl.

"Erik!" She called while waving me over. We started walking to her. Next to her sat a short, blond girl in a pink dress.

"Hello Miss. Elphaba. This is my cabin mate Fiyero." I said.

"Hi Erik. Hi Fiyero. This is Galinda-" She started.

"Don't forget the 'Ga'!" She added, smiling. She seems... bubbly.

"So, Miss. Galinda, how do you know Miss. Elphaba?" I asked, trying to start up a conversation and know these people better.

"We're Cabin mates." They said in unison.

"Same." Fiyero added. We talked a little more until it was basically two conversations, Fiyero and Galinda, and Elphaba and me.

"Do you like music?" I questioned.

"Why, yes I do. I love how all of the notes and harmonies come together in the end and create a beautiful piece. It truly is a work of art." Elphaba answered excitedly. "I would like to hear more of your music. From what I heard, you are very talented, Erik."

"That would be nice. Maybe one time I could hear your voice?" I said hopefully.

"Maybe." Elphaba stated. I couldn't wait. She probably sounds like an angel.

"I bet you sound wonderful Miss Elphaba." I encouraged. She smiled.

Elphaba was different. A good kind of different. I felt at ease with her, and didn't worry about my mask that much. I hoped we would be friends for a long time.

Sorry if this is bad. I kinda got writers block at the end of this chapter. I hope you're enjoying the story!
