The next morning, the day of we go back to England, couldn't have been more awkward. The only sound we could hear was the sound of our breathing.

We both seemed to want to play a game where we both act like nothing happened. But it was difficult. Zach broke first.

"Look, Summer... About last night...." He began to ramble on. I couldn't quite make out what he was saying and that annoyed me.

" What? I can't hear you Zach. Can you speak up a bit?"

" Uhh... Yeah. Look, I think it would be best if we forget that anything ever happened. Please? I think we should just be friends and, besides, I was being dumb. I had too many drinks, way too many. Sorry."

I could feel my heart sink with every excuse. He walked over to me and rested his hand on my shoulder.

" I-I'm so sorry but... I think we were just being stupid."

That's when I snapped. My hands turned into a clenched fist and in two seconds, I was punching him in the stomach. He doubled back and fell flat on the floor.

He began to curse, but I wasn't finished. I jumped onto him and slapped him hard across the face over and over. Tears staining my cheek.

" You jerk! I hate you! I absolutely hate you!"

Zach managed to overpower me and push me off of him. He clutched his cheek hard, it was stinging red. My cheeks burned too but I doubt the pain was as much as his.

He looked at me with cold eyes and then turned away.

" Z-Zach I.." He didn't even flinch. He began to go through his bag and pack his clothes away. He shoved past me  and closed the door hard.

It was only when he had disappeared out the door that I realised how much I must have hurt him. I could still feel that warm, tingling sensation on my lip, when I closed my eyes, I was back in the bar. All eyes on us as we danced so close, I could feel his breath.

But that was gone now. The warmth. The love. Had all been replaced with pain and tears. All the feeling I had felt when Dominic had left. But this time, I wouldn't let him get away.
