Alexia gets to the castle pretty soon after leaving the enchanted forest. She trots through the castle gates towards the stables.
Alexia jumps off Brightlight's back, un-saddles him and puts him in his stall. She runs to her room and gets changed into a simple purple dress. She applies some mascara, eyeliner and lipgloss. Alexia pulls her hair into a low, side pony tail.
She dashes down the stairs and along the corridors until she gets to the dining room.Alexia pushes open the big wooden doors and bustles inside. She stands behind her chair at the dining table. To her surprise she is the first one there making her early for the first time in forever.
After 10 minutes of just standing there and doing nothing, someone walks through the door way.Alexia looks up and sees Prince Joshua. "What are you doing here?" asks Alexia.
"Your father invited me to have dinner with you"explains Josh."Didn't he tell you I was coming?"
"No!" screams Alexia. "If he had told me I would have dressed in something nicer." Alexia gestures to her dress. "Well I think you look fabulous" Josh says enthusiastically. "But that must mean that you care about what I think of you" questions Josh.
Alexia blushes. "Well I am a princess and I have to make sure that everybody thinks good things about me" says Alexia.
"Good comeback" compliments Josh.
"Thanks" accepts Alexia. Josh and Alexia high-five over the table unaware that her father is watching them. "Hmmm hmmm" coughs King Charles.
Alexia and Josh instantly start standing up straighter. "You may sit" bellows Charles. Alexia, Josh and Charles sit down at the table. Charles sits at the end of the table and Alexia and Josh sit opposite each other.
The servants bring out the meals and place them in front of each person. Nobody touches their food until Charles dips his head in approval.
Everyone sits in silence as they eat their meal.
When Alexia had finished her meal the maids quickly ran to her side and took her empty plate away. Soon after Josh and Charles finished theirs as well.
"Wow, you eat fast Alexia!" comments Josh. "Well... I was hungry?!" replies Alexia. Josh and Alexia both laugh and then realise that the King is eyeing them off.
They quickly settle themselves.
Josh, Alexia and Charles talk about the realm and other important subjects. Dessert is served pretty soon after and everyone digs in.
The king finishes his dessert first and the maids come and collect his plate. Josh and Alexia finish around about the same time.
After a little more chatter Josh and Alexia are dismissed from the dinner table
Alexia starts making her way to her room when Josh grabs her hand.
