Sometimes I wonder how it would be like to live a normal life, with parents, siblings, family and friends. Unfortunately, I was not able to have them, as I was too busy running from something that wasn't even human. Thoughts aside, Jinx had noticed that I had an ancient book full of Latin stuff, and was eager for me to try some of it out. I had learnt a bit of Latin, but this was far too complex for me to understand. But, I tried some anyway, just for Jinx to stop bugging me about it. There was a glamour spell, that could hide my abnormally purple eyes, so I tried that. I sat, and as the sun went down, and the moon came up, we were left in darkness. "Ignis apparent auras", and a fire appeared, and scared the life out of both of us. After the shock, came the glee, and soon I was dancing with Jinx, Jinx on his back two paws, his front two paws were in my hands, and we were having the time of our lives. We heard the snap of leaves, on the forest floor, and stood up. I concentrated on the words and said, "normalis me", and at that point a guy came out of the forest. He had tanned skin, was shirtless, and was followed by a few more guy, who looked remarkably similar to the first guy, so much so, that they all looked like brothers. I quickly put the book in my rucksack, and the rucksack on both of my shoulders. The first guy was obviously the leader, and looked like he could beat me to a pulp. I gulped, and took a step back. It was at that point that he was about to say something, stepping forward, but Jinx came in front of me, and started hissing at him. The man laughed, making Jinx angrier, and making me slightly frustrated. I whispered to Jinx, "what are you doing?" To which he replied, "I'm trying to protect you, dumbass. I'm your companion and protector, so let me just do my job." The guys tilted their heads, and it was ultimately clear that they couldn't hear what Jinx was saying, and so didn't quite understand what the hell was going on. Oh, dear Lord, this would be a hard one to explain.
