Chapter 11

Shayne's POV

I can't keep this anymore. My head is about to explode. I need to tell someone about this. I looked around the room and saw Keith. Keith... he's Lin's roommate, but ugghhhhh my head is really hurting. I can't hide this. I shouted, "Keith!" I caught his attention. As he walked towards me, with a smile he said, "What's up, Shayne?" Finally seeing my face, his smile turned into a worried look. "Are you okay?" He asked as he pat my shoulder to face him. "Dude. Please speak." I looked at him, eyes all watery, face all red, lips quivering, I blurted out, "I kissed Lin." His eyes grew into the size of Mt. Everest, he sprinted towards the door and locked us both in the room. "Tell me everything." He demanded.

Caroline's POV

I woke up from a text I got from Boze.

Boze: Hey wanna head to the Smoffice, I miss my bestie.
Lin: I'm not feeling well right now, maybe another time, Boze.
Boze: Okay, get well soon. I'll visit you there instead. See yah

I closed my phone and went to the bathroom. I filled the bathtub halfway through and put on a Fiery Red Bath bomb and some very bubbly soap. I need to relax for a while and this is how I relax. Removing all my clothes, I got my earphones on and went inside the tub. The water is warm and it gives a delightful sensation on my skin. I rested my head on the tub and closed my eyes as I got eaten away by the song, California King Bed by Rihanna.

Chest to chest, nose to nose
Palm to palm, we were always just that close
Wrist to wrist, toe to toe

So how come when I reach out my finger
It feels like more than distance between us?

Shayne's POV

"...then I got here." I continued. Keith looked at me, very disappointed if I must say. Well... I too, on the other hand, am very disappointed to myself. His eyes grew big and told me, "We need to check Lin." "Why?" I wondered. "We don't know what she's capable of. She might've done something terrible." He reasoned out. We unlocked the door to reveal a Damien. "Uhmm. I'm here to return your flash drive." He said. "Tell him." Keith told me. I hesitated for a while but said to my best friend, "I kissed Lin"

I was expecting a punch or a kick in the balls, but no. I looked at Damien and not a single angry emotion was seen. Just a pout and sorrow in his eyes. He was very disappointed. This is much worse. "I trusted you, Shayne. You are my best friend. Have I done something as terrible as this to you?" He said, very devastated. I saw him shed a tear. He really did love her. Now I feel like a douche. "I'm really sorry, man. I was just testing if I have this weird feelings towards her, I didn't mean to end it up like this. I am also disappointed to myself, I regret everything I've done." I said. "Where is she?" He asked. "We're on our way to check her. She might do something terrible to herself. Come on." Keith said. We rushed to my car, I drove to their apartment as Damien sat on the backseat as Keith sat up front. The whole ride Damien is just looking at the window. I can sense the awkwardness in the whole trip.

In less than 20 minutes, we got in their apartment, we entered the elevator and proceeded to their room. Keith got his keys and unlocked the door, carefully we searched the house, hmm, seems normal. We shouted her name but no one is answering back. That's when we started panicking. We search the whole room and saw nothing but there is light peeking from the bathroom door.Keith knocked but no one answered so we barged in. There we saw Lin inside the tub swimming in her own pool of blood?
