A Close Call

Chapter 7-

Thalia's POV

I looked around and noticed something wrong. "Uhh guys... Where's Per-Alpha?" Whew! Almost forgot about code names here.

"I don't know. Maybe he went to set up our tent?" Jason said questionably.

Clarisse snapped her fingers. "Wait! You were about to call Alpha something different, weren't you?"

"What no I wasn't!" Uh-oh she caught me! I need to lie my way out of this.

"What was it you were about to say? Pe-. Periwinkle? No. Penelope? Definitely no. Another thing. It's the way you guys walk around camp like you know where everything is.-" Clarisse continued to name off names that start with Pe.

I needed a way out of this. How did I use to hide the truth? Anger. Not helping in this situation. Zapping people with lightning. I think that would help her piece the puzzle better. The Mist! That's it!

"Percy! Percy's back! So who are you too?" Clarisse got it! Oh-no!

I squeezed my eyes shut and snapped my fingers. I'll admit I'm a bit rusty at this, but I just hope I succeeded.

"Wait! What am I doing again? Ah! Whatever. Show yourselves around camp." She said and ran to her cabin. Probably getting ready for dinner with her siblings.

Jason stood there with a confused look on his face. "What just happened?"

"The Mist!" Was all I replied. (If your confused, Thalia made Clarisse forget about Percy being here using the mist. I don't know if you can actually do that with the mist but let's say you can for the sake of argument.)

I ran towards the lake to look for Percy. We found our tent by the lake but also close to the woods. Jason went to our little kitchen we had and probably started to make a sandwich. I went upstairs to check on Percy.

I found him in his room (with his robe off so he was just wearing a white t-shirt and jeans) slightly shaking and sweating majorly.

"Percy!" I nudged him. "Percy!"

He woke with a start. He turned towards me with a glare in his eyes. "I hate this planet." He said deadly serious.
