The Graveyard Shift: part 2

Chapter 29

**Jenna's POV**

A few months later

"Come on, Xavier! Crawl to mommy!"

I'm on the floor trying to get Xavier to crawl. He's been trying for the past few days but hasn't had any luck yet

"He'll crawl soon. In his own time" Ryan said coming and sitting with me

"I know I just wish it was now!"

Ryan chuckled "maybe when Harley gets home she'll crawl with him"

"I can't believe he's going to be one in a few months"

"I know. This year has gone by fast"

"I'm so glad you've been home for a few months though"

"I'm happy too. I do miss being on the road though."

"I know, but you're going back to Europe in a few weeks"

"Don't remind me. I have so much to pack before then"

"I'll help you. As I always do"

"Remeber when we were dating and you stayed up all night teaching me how to use the washing machine?"

"How could I forget it?" I asked laughing

"Ryan!  Stop playing around! We need to finish your laundry!"

"Come on Jenna! It's 4 in the morning. Can't we go get some sleep?"

"Well maybe if someone hasn't of insisted we go get milkshakes we'd be done by now" I said putting my hands on my hips

"Excuse me, but you're the one who wanted a milkshake. I simply agreed because I'm an amazing boyfriend."

I shrugged "you're alright"

I laughed at the memory. Every time Ryan would leave for tour after that we would always go get milkshakes and he would pack.

"I'm home!!!" Harley yelled walking though the house

"Did you have fun?" I asked

"Yes, but Uncle Chris walks so fast I had to run the whole time"

Chris chuckled entering the room behind her "I have long legs. I'm sorry"

"Yeah, but Harley only goes right above your kneecap. Cut her some slack"

Chris laughed "sorry mom. I'll try harder next time" Chris said sarcastically

"Don't back talk me, young man!"

"Don't make me separate you two!" Ryan said

Chris and I just laughed "thanks for taking her" I told Chris

"Of course Jenna. I love hanging out with Harley"

We invited Chris to stay and hang out with us for dinner.

"So, Mrs. Sitkowski what's the plan for Xavier's birthday?" Chris asked

"Ryan and I were thinking of just a small get together here at the house then taking Harley trick or treating"

"Good plan. I can't wait. Halloween is so much more special since it's also Xavier's birthday"

"What are you gonna be for Halloween, Uncle Chris?" Harley asked

"I don't know yet. What are you going to be?"

"I'm gonna be Wednesday Addams! And daddy and mommy are gonna be my parents but I forget their names"

"The Addams, huh?"

"Well everyone says Ryan and I are the living Addams so why not?"

Chris shrugged "true"

The rest of the night was quiet. We just enjoyed time with our family, before Ryan leaves.....again
