Chapter 6

Of corse,we got lectured, for being late. We get sent up to our room, as always. And i start to text Niall. I hope he still doesnt know i like him, even though i make it so obvious.

Hey ni!<3 i text him

Hey red! whats up? he replys back.

Nothing, thanks to lou lou, we were late again!

well, thats loubear for ya. get used to it.

yea yea. i know. we have know him for years now.

good point. so,where's winter?

why do you care all of a sudden?

ITS LOUIS!! HOW COULD YOU NOT RECEDNIZE ME?

Louis? what are you doing on nialls phone?

really?

yea. im texting winter on mine so i needed another phone to text you.

ok then

yep

can i have niall back?

i dont know. do you want him?

yes, yes i do. i want him reallll bad. Lou.

i wait for a reply, but i dont get one for a few minuets.

well, now you got him!!

thank god! i thought i was going to be stuck with him forever!!

yea! well, I need to go, my mum just called us.

awee. now?

yea i have chores, thanks  to loubear!

 i throw my phone on the bed next to me and slide down onto my pillow, into a laying position. I almost drift off, until winter toughes me.... without gloves? thats a shocker. I remember what i was going to ask her!! but, why did why touch me?

i jolt up at her touch and she jumps back. "yea?" i ask her, with a very tired voice.

"I  just wanted to tell you that your wings were exposed." she says sorta happy.

"WHAT?!" i clear my throat "um... what wings? i bet your just seeing things. I dont have wings." i say, nervously chuckling.

"Yes you do, i just saw them!" she squeals in delight.

she lets go and runs the opposite way, but i grab her arm before she can get too far away.

"why are you so cold?" her face sinks at my question. the question must have cought her by suprise. She tugs her arm to try and get away from me, but i dont let go. "Winter. I have waited 9 years to ask this question. Tell me. You know my secret already! that, im. an..." i hesitate before saying my LEAST favorite word in the world,"angle." i relax with a sigh of relif when and she looks down to the floor.

"Fine, i thought i wouldnt need to tell you for another year or so, but here it goes," she hesitates before speaking," i-i don't think i can... can tell you yet." she stands up and runs out of the door.

I rush to stay behind her. I grab her sholder before she has a chance to run down the stairs. i turn her around and stare into her eyes. "Tell. Me. I am your SISTER you shouldnt keep secrets from me!!" she doesnt reply and looks down to her feet, not to make eye contact with me. "if it matters, i think i am going to tell niall that im an angel... but i need your opinion, and i need to know why we both have special things about us."

She looks up at me with a startled look in her eyes. "why would you ever do that?"

I hesitate at her question,"well.... i don;t know yet."

I don't sleep much that night. I really was thinking about why Winter was stalling on the question.

I remember asking her why she was cold... she had dodged my question! ugh! how could she do that to me?!?! we are sisters!!! you know what? im asking her right now! I sit up in my bed and look at the clock in the corner of the room. It reads, 12:56. huh, werid. its almost 1 in the morning. well, too bad, im getting my ansers now.

I slide my legs off of the bed and wait until my eyes ajust to the dim light. once i can see, i look for winter's bed, which is on the oposite side of mine. I stand and walk to her bed.

"Winter, Winter. Winter wake up." I whisper, and shake her body. she doesnt respond. I try shaking her harder, still no responce. "WINTER!" i pratically yell in her ear.

She immidiatly jums up, hitting me in the mouth with her head. I fall to the ground and she falls back on her pillow, in pain. We both sit there, rubbing our injured areas. She looks over at me when I stand. I sit on the edge of her bed, making it dip at my weight.

"Winter?" i say to her, still rubbing my mouth.

"Why did you wake me up?!" she says to me, rubbing her head.

"I want answers, and i want them now." i stare at her with a stern look.

"ok, fine. what do you want to know?" she asks, sitting up from her laying position she was in.

"i want to know why you are always cold and I want to know why you are hiding it from me. You know my secret, that  im not proud of. Now, its your turn to tell me. Now." Winter is now awake from my question.

"Ok, ok. First, I didnt want to tell you because I thought that you would be afraid of me and what I can do." winter starts to rub her hands together with nerves. "Ok, but please, promice me that you wont get scared?"

I nod my head at her, confirming that I wont freak out.

"ok," she takes a deep breath, "Ok, I have frost powers. No, i cant fly and i dont have wings, but i can freeze things and im always really cold. thats why I dont want people to touch me. they wil freak bacause if i were human and this cold, i would be dead!" she says, making an exaggeration with her hands.

I look at her in shock. I dont know what to say to her. I wasnt expecting that, sorta.

"Autumn? a-are you ok?" she looks at me worriedly.

I walk back to my bed and face the wall. I hear her stir in her bed and fall asleep. I do the same, shortly after.

I wake up and go over to winter's bed. I look over her sholder, to her face, and grab her blankets. I get a good grip on them and i pull them. She was wraped in them, so she falls to the floor with a *THUD* it was actually quite loud, concidering her weight is very little.

"GOOD MORNING WINTER!!!" i scream, to make sure she is awake.

"WHAT DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!?! I WANT TO SLEEP! LEAVE ME ALONE!!!!" She says and rolls back into her blankets, still on the floor.

"C'mon winter! were going to the boys' house!" she looks up at me with a wide smile on her face.

"Lou is going to be there?" I look at her like she answered her question. she squeals with delight and stands up, tripping on her blanket, trying to get to the closet.

I start to laugh at her excitement and grab the outfit i layed out last night.
