What do we have to hold on to
Can't understand, what should I do
Your leaving, no second glance
No memories to reminisce
What we had is left behind
Now there's no more you and I
But here's the thing
I get this conclusion while remembering
You love was never there from the start
In this love I had to play both parts
I remember the hurt of the words you said
How could I forget it's always been like that
The empty silences that had filled the room
They could never be filled by you
And when all is said and done
I realize I deserved someone
A friend that would treat me better
One that would be here down the latter
One who would always stay down with me
Not one that will leave me on the scene
So here's a toast to dead ends
And here's a toast to new friends
