Happiness

Got a feeling today
One that was hard to describe
It came at me overwhelming
To point that I couldn't hide

Can this be what others call happiness Is this what joy feels like
Its been gone for so long
I almost mistook it for pride

Such a joyous feeling can easily get lost
The words that people say
Their actions toward you
They can switch out your happiness with pain

So let us relish in this moment
Let us embrace this feeling
I want to feel glad
As if it had no ending

So when the day is over
And my feelings are now despair
I wont totter of that edge
Because happiness was there
