The Sparrow
"YOU DONT HAVE A RIGHT TO BE HERE ON THIS VILLAGE!" Screeched an angry villager. He was holding a small staff, shaking it trying to intimidate me. Many people were screaming and crying out to me to leave. This village is a mess.
"You better leave or I'm gonna kick your a**." One guy hissed at me with his own sword in hand at the ready.
"Calm down sir. I am just leaving. Thought I might pass through." I explained, holding my hand up. He growled.
"WE DONT NEED ANYMORE EVIL IN THIS TOWN SINCE THE WIDOW CAME!" I heard a old woman shout to me from her window. She held her broom in hand and shouted profanities at me.
I had a few cuts in my skin here and there, but I felt fine. Nothing serious. I honestly came in this viallge for a hair cut, but apparently I'm not wanted.
I suddenly felt my throat being pulled back with a knife, and a man hold my chest, while pulling me back.
"You better answer me or I'll kill you right here, right now." He mumbled through his teeth, tightning his grip.
"Deal." I simply stated, letting myself feel calm. Even if he tried to kill me, I can get out my katana and kill him in under 10 seconds. I'm not worried.
"Your going to tell me who this woman is, and if you don't know your going to find her and kill her. You understand me?" He barked.
"Alright. Show me who this woman is." I replied, shifting in a more com for table spot.
He pulled out a picture of a woman with long dark hair, with an intimidating glare. She had a huge fancy bow an arrows straped around her shoulders, and a nice sword in her side. She had a weird spider web like tattoo on her arm, and a symbol of a black widow on her clothing. She looked strong.
"I have never seen this woman." I told him honestly. He inhaled sharply.
"Then you better promise me your going to find her and kill her. She just came through this town. My little daughter went up to her, grabbed her clothing to try and get her attention and boom. Hit right in the face, she has the worst brusies. My daughter then the next day went up to her again. You wanna know what she did?" he paused a bit. "She killed my little daughter by hitting her, in this weird order and.." he paused again. I heard his voice faulter a bit. "I don't know how to explain it. She just killed her. Her names the Widow. She's going around a lot of these villages and people have heard she after someone and ready to murder them. Beware." the man ended his explaination and when I turned around after he let go of me, he was gone. The picture of the woman was on the ground. I picked it up and stuffed it into my clothes.
Upon leaving the village, I saw a small bird struggling on the ground with a broken wing. I picked it up and helped it. Deciding I would keep it for a little bit to help it heal, I threw it into my hood so it would stay warm. The fall winds here can get cold.
I know that this woman I am ordered to kill, will not be fun to talk to.
