"This is so relaxing." I said sighed. We were all out relaxing on the beach. I am sprawled out on a blanket in the sand. It feels good to have everyone here. Ajani and Michelle walking down the beach chatting. You can tell they're having fun by the way they are smiling. Emma is burying Jordan in the sand. The only thing you can see is his head. She's laughing at him and dripping water on his forehead. I laughed knowing he's going to get her back, some way, somehow.
Abi and Zelo are having a blast in the water. They are such lovely children. Both of them have dark skin, but their hair is a dirty blond color and they have light brown eyes. When you look at them you can tell they're blood. They look just alike. They both have the sweetest faces, you can't help but love them the second you see them.
They are very interesting children. To be their age they very clearly. They're also very smart and talented. They made me wonder if my children will be similar to them. I would expect children coming from a foster home to be tense or they would be afraid around strangers. They're nothing like that, they act as if they've lived here since birth. They treat Ajani and Michelle like they're their parents already.
"Mom has been taking care of them since they were born." The twins said. I turned and looked at them.
"Mom was their birth mothers doctor through out her pregnancies." Aiden said. "After she had Abi, she got a massive infection. She was a stubborn woman and she refused to see a doctor. Her husband tried and tried to persuade but she just wouldn't give. By the time mom got to her, it was too late." I instantly felt sad, those poor angels.
"What happened to their father?" I asked. "Why arent they with him?"
"A couple of days after his wife's funeral, he poisoned himself. He left a note to our mom. He wanted her to fight for custody of them. She was the only person they trusted." I looked at the kids, Zelo was helping Abi build a sand castle. Well it was far from a castle. It was really just a pile of sand with a tiny red flag sticking out of the top.
"This is the perfect home for them." I said with a smile. Home. Wait? How is this working? I haven't asked anyone when we're going home and who all is coming back. I really want everyone to come. Even though I've personally known them one to two days. One day for the kids and two for my in-laws.
"Well the whole family will be coming of course." The twins smiled. "You and mom still need to get started planning the wedding."
"We haven't even picked a date!" I gasped.
"When do you want it to be?" Aiden asked. "You can pick the date, we'll marry you now if you say you want to do it." He laughed. I smiled and smacked his chest.
"I want a spring wedding." I said happily. "I think we should have it here."
"Why here?" They asked curiously. I rolled my eyes at them.
"Duh! This is paradise." I said laying back and relaxing. The twins laughed and kissed my nose. The sun disappeared behind black clouds that seemed to come out of nowhere. "No!" I groaned. As soon as the word left my mouth it started to sprinkle. The children started yelling and ran around dancing in the rain. I jumped up and grabbed the blanket, I threw it over my head to try tosalvage my hair. No luck. By the time I got in the house I was soaked.
