That question is the exact reason why she must leave. For months she planned this...but it did not happen until her tenth birthday.
"Where will you go?"
The questions they constantly asked slowly tore her heart apart...gradually breaking it into pieces. She doesn't want to leave, but it is for the best.
"Wherever the wind takes me"
She knew exactly where she was going and why. But everyone does not need to be informed, it was best to keep it in secrecy.
"I hope you stay safe"
There was no promises made of her return. Did she stay safe? The outcome was unknown. For days everyone wondered what had happened to her. Every now and then someone would yell that she is in danger. Though, they all knew she could take care of herself. But could a 10 year old handle the dangers of the world?
