Chapter *9*

Adam’s POV

We almost neared Blue’s room when a phone rang. It was not mine so I turned to look at the guys when I saw Kat pull her phone out of her pocket.

‘’ Guys it’s Clair. She is the woman who helped Blue in the camp, she is also the head of the camp. Before we came here she called me and I told her about Blue and she told me she was on her way here and would stop by to see Blue. I got a text from her saying she will be here in 10 minutes. Do you guys mind if I go get her first?’’ Wow Clair is here? Hell yes, I want to see who made Blue blossom up. We all looked at each other and nodded yes to Kat.

‘’ Thx guys, I’m sure Blue would be happy to know Clair was here. ‘’ She turned and went to get Clair.

‘’ Can we finally go in?! ‘’ Cole whined. ‘’ Sure but remember what dr. Ross said. We can’t stay too long in there.’’ Luke turned and walked in me and Cole following after him.

My heart was throbbing really fast and I couldn’t wait to see her and there she was.

My heart stood still when I saw Blue lying in the white hospital bed with an ventilator tube in her mouth, on her left side stood a monitor showing her heart rhythm.

Her left arm and shoulder was wrapped in bandage and in her right arm were the IV tubes, one was red I guess for blood and the other was transparent what I guess is moisture. Her face was pall and her long black hair was lying on one side next to her.

The beeping sound of the monitor was calming me down, I know it sounds weird but to me it was a sigh proving she was just sleeping.

I walked to her left side and took a seat next to Cole. Luke stood on her right. It was quiet but not awkwardly quiet. It was actually comforting this way. I took her hand in mine and squeezed it gently. ‘’ I don’t know if you can hear us, but you really scared us baby girl. I don’t know what you were thinking when you run away? I’m so grateful Luke found you. ‘’

‘’ Yeah, I agree with you bro, Blue we don’t even want to think what could happen if Luke couldn’t find you in time. ‘’ Cole joined me and broke the silence.

‘’ Guys come on, I agree it was stupide of her to run away but it’s not really the good time to bring it up. Remember what the doctor said, she needs rest. Anyway, I need to call the school to inform them about Blue and why we’re not there. Will you guys stay here or do you want to come with me? ‘’ Luke asked us.

‘’ I’m staying’’ no way am I living her.

‘’ Me too but first I want to get something to eat.’’ Of course Cole is the only one who can think about food in a time like this.

‘’ then we’ll see you later bro.’’ Luke stood up and walked to the door.

‘’ Do you want something to eat or drink? ‘’ Cole asked me. ‘’ Just coffee ‘’ I lost all the appetite but I can’t say no to coffee.

‘’ Ok, see you in a bit than. ‘’ Cole walked out the door, when he closed the door I turned back to Blue. ‘’ You know? I never saw you as a sister and we’re not blood related, still I should see you as a sister, most people would do but I don’t and I’m really happy about it. I don’t know why I’m saying this to you but know one thing. You are and you mean a lot more to me.‘’ I took her hand and kissed it.

 ‘’ Pleas be ok and wake up soon.’’ I sighed and felt the need to talk more to her even when I was not sure she could hear me or not.

‘’ When you were gone the house felt unbearable empty and lonely even when Luke and Cole were with me. The house is always so bright and full when you’re there. I noticed the flowers in the living room. You always used to picked flowers from our garden every Sunday morning. Everybody keeps telling you how much you changed, but to be honest you didn’t change at all in my eyes. You are still the same beautiful, cheerful, happy and smart person you were before the whole camp thing.’’ I laughed at loud.
