Chapter 4

"Who is it?" Bella asked, excitement clear in her face.

"Yes Lana, who is it?" Edward asked, fully knowing who it was and not knowing how Bella would react. "Please do tell."

I flipped him of and he laughed at me.

"Not funny Edward."

"What's going on? Why's nobody telling me anything?" Bella asked, still as confused as before.

Before anybody could answer the house phone started to ring. Bella, being the closest to it picked it up and answered.

"Hey Dad." She said her mood changing to happy instantly.

"Erm yeah sure she's right here." Bella said now even more confused than before. She handed the phone to me. "He wants to speak to you"

I could understand how confusing this must be for Bella. She didn't even think me and Charlie had even met before let alone been each others mates.

"Hey Chief, is everything okay? It's only been half an hour, you missing me already?" I was conscious Bella could hear everything he was saying as well so I expected her to join up the dots but as I was speaking to Charlie I saw Edward whisper "Mates" in her ear.

"Yeah sure I would love to come round right now, i'm not busy or anything. I'll be 10 minutes."

Once I had put the phone down I was pulled into a hug from Bella.

"Oh my God, I can't believe this. Lana and Charlie will be so cute together." She squealed with excitement.

"I wouldn't speak so soon Bella, he might not like me when he finds out we're vampires." I looked at her with sorrow on my face. I knew I had to tell Charlie about me and my family and then he would find out about Bella as well.

"When you feel comfortable enough to tell him, we will tell him together." Bella said whilst giving me the thumbs up and an awkward pat on the back.

On my drive to Charlies house I had a vision. As soon as I had met Alice I copied her power but I was completely regretting it now. I saw me and Charlie. We were laughing and talking whilst he had his arm around me. We were talking to Bella and Renesme. But the thing that stood out to me the most was...
