Me and Garrett had been inseparable the past few days and everyone around me was beginning to notice my change in mood. Charlie and Garrett got along so well that sometimes it worried me, I thought they would run off together. They had just gone hunting together actually, I had warned Garrett that Charlie had only just become used to his blood lust and that meant that he couldn't get too close to humans just in case.
I was walking through the house, trying to help Esme and Carlisle clean up when I felt a stabbing pain in my heart. I clutched my chest and fell to my knees. Carlisle was next to me in seconds, trying to get me to sit up straight and look at him. When he looked at me he looked completely shocked for a second before his doctor instincts took over.
"Just lie down on the floor, I'll be back in a second. I promise." I did as he said and turned to see Alice and Edward coming towards me.
"What's going on?" Edward said.
I felt my vision become blurry as I looked over at Alice. Her eyes were scanning me quickly trying to find the source of my pain. She looked straight into my eyes and I could faintly see her furrow her eyebrows.
"You're crying?" Alice said, still trying to figure out what was happening.
I knew exactly what happened. I turned to Edward and held my hand out to him to catch his attention.
"Tell Carlisle I know exactly what's going on. I'm going to be asleep for a while. Tell him to look in my drawer in my room. The hidden one. He'll know where it is. It has all the answers he needs. I'm not sure how long i'll be out but i'm pretty sure i'll be able to hear everyone around me. Tell Charlie I lo-" I couldn't finish my sentence.
I had passed out. Like a human would. I had a heartbeat and I was crying like a human would. I knew this had to happen soon, just not now.
