Chapter 2: back in the Matrix

I slept quietly, hugged tight in Bane's arms.

there was nothing that made a peep, not even the noisy pipes on the walls.

as I slept, I dreamt.

what it was about, was unimaginable, it was impossible.

My Dream>

I, for some reason, was standing in an empty room, in a building.

with a large stretch of the window across from where I stood.

the floors and walls were a light green color.

there was hardly any furniture.

I didn't know why I was here, and I was looking around in slight confusion.

my heartbeat was fast, but, it didn't feel like it was going to jump out of my chest.

I gaze to my right and look out of the stretch of window.

it was glossy like it had been waxed several times non-stop.

for some reason, I decided to turn around.

and when I do, I inhale subtly in surprise.

Agent Smith was just behind me.

simply staring at me, without a word.

my eyes were slightly widened, and my mouth hung open a bit.

my chest moved in and out slowly, so my breathing was very clear.

I didn't say anything, I just stared back.

suddenly he slowly moves his right hand up to my cheek and caresses it with all of his fingers.

my chest begins to move faster. 

he moves closer, he rubs the back of my neck.

then quickly grabs my face tenderly. 

he leans down and forces his lips onto mine, violently.

but softly and gently.

I kissed him, and it felt like we were in love.

but there is something wrong with that, he's a Virus.

a program, an Agent of the system.

he doesn't know love,
I'm only half Program.

having a human side is what gives me emotions.

I jump up in bed and hyperventilate in shock.

the room was dark as it could be, just a single dim white light was above my head.

Bane wakes up in concern and panic, he leans over and touches my arm.

"Scarlett? what is it?" he asks frantically.

I stay silent and stare around at the ceiling.

"Nothing.." I assure in a light tone.

I slowly lay back down, as his hand and arm caress mine.

he laid back down with me at the same time. 

though I lied and said I was fine, he still suspected I was holding something from him.
