Chapter 29

Veronica's POV

"Justin stop!" I giggled and pushed Justin away. 

Me and Justin were currently laying in bed, in the afternoon. He was continuously licking my cheek, which tickled.

I layed down on Justin's lap and he began playing with my hair, every once in a while, he would lean down and kiss my lips. 

"I'm so excited to go on tour" Justin said.

I felt a pit in my stomach, I hadn't told Justin about the job, I don't know when to.

"Yeah" I mumbled and fiddled with my fingers.

"Wanna go outside? It's pretty warm, and we'll walk together with Baylor." Justin suggested.

I nodded and smiled.

I got up from Justin's lap and walked towards my closet.

The weather was beautiful, I reached in and grabbed a strapless black floral dress, with black vans. I went into the bathroom and changed, I tied my hair into a messy ponytail and did my make-up. I sprayed on Someday. I left the washroom and saw Justin slipping on a gold chain.

"You look gorgeous" Justin said and kissed my cheek.

I blushed and smiled. We went downstairs, just as we were about to leave I forgot my sunglasses in my leather bag.

"Shit, I forgot my sunglasses." I mumbled.

"Oh, I'll get them for you, where are they?"

"In my bag, it's on the shelf in my closet" I said.

Justin nodded and rushed upstairs.

After a few moments Justin came back, but not only was he holding my glasses, in the other hand was the modelling contract.

My heart started racing in my chest and my palms got sweaty.

"What's this?" Justin said and furrowed his eyebrows.

"Uh, i-its.... I got a job offering to become a model." I said and sighed.

Justin's eyes got wide and he smiled.

"Baby! That's great! How come you didn't tell me though?" Justin said and had a look of disappointment.

"B-because when the job starts, you're gonna start your tour." I said and looked down.

Justin walked passed me and went straight outside without saying a word. I sighed and walked towards Baylor. 

I grabbed his leash from the counter and clipped it onto his collar.

I walked Baylor outside and saw Justin standing at the end of the driveway. I walked over to him. He began walking, and I quietly walked next to him.

"Are you going to pick the tour or modelling?" Justin asked.

"Well, I need a job Justin. My tour is over, so I'm gonna take a break from music and try something new..."

Justin scoffed and looked at me.

"You're living with one of the most richest people in the world!" He said looking amused.

I looked at him as if he was insane.

"So what?! I'm not gonna live off of you Justin! That's bullshit, people are gonna think I use you!" I said.

"So you're just gonna leave me?! Wow Veronica, I don't believe you! After all we've been through, you're gonna leave me again?" He yelled making me flinch.

"Leave you? You're the one who developed feelings for that girl! I never left you, you left me!" I yelled.

"Veronica, please come with me. You know I can't live without you, I need you by my side. I was looking so forward to this. Me and you together on the bus, you seeing me preform. Us pranking Fredo and Ryan..." Justin said softly.

I shook my head.

"I'm sorry Justin, but I'm choosing modelling. I need a career, I'm 19." I said.

"So you're choosing a career over me?" Justin said looking hurt.

I sighed and nodded.

Justin looked at me with a shocked expression. He shook his head and walked back towards the mansion. 

I looked at the trees and the sky.

I'm choosing modelling...
