Stiles held up his black bow, tugging slightly on the string and he stalked through the forest. The mulch and leaves beneath him crunched like an empty potato chips bag, but not as much as for it to pass as a mere woodland animal. Every other sound, big or small, alerted his trained ears and the direction they came from were faced with a bow and arrow.

His heart was steady as he took a deep breath. It seemed like this wasn't his first hunt so he didn't get scared as easily as he used to. Hunting was more of a part-time job or profession than a hobby, especially if the hunted wasn't any ordinary animal. In fact, Stiles was taught from a young age that werewolves weren't animals. They were monsters.

He kept walking, keeping an ear out for any sudden noise. Ears were as key as the eyes were. Each of the five senses counted in its own way.

Suddenly there was movement a couple feet from him and he stopped. Swiftly turning around, he pointed his bow where the movement came from and quickly got into firing position. All he was saw were the shadows of the trees hovering over a scattered row of bushes, darkness cowling everything like a blanket of the night. Nothing seemed to be there.

He should've run away, it was his first thought. But for some reason he didn't. Instead, Stiles slowly adjusted his position on the bow and arrow and faced it in the direction where the sound was coming from. He took a wolf-bane laced arrow from the arrow holder on his back and placed it on the string. He waited a couple seconds, before sending the arrow at the row of bushes. A flurry of wolfsbane was present in the air, and so were an array of loud coughs.

Stiles smirked. "Found ya."

The creature came out from hiding while covering it's nose and wailing its other arm to send away the wolfsbane. Stiles shot another arrow that landed on its left shoulder. The werewolf looked around angrily until his eyes landed on the hunter. The wolf clenched its fists and growled before charging at the human.

Stiles stood still for a moment, letting the wolf come closer. The werewolf unleashed its claws and swiped a hand at him. Stiles waited for the right moment before ducking under its arm and shooting another arrow at the arm that was injured before. The werewolf snarled in irritation and attempted to get away, holding its harmed arm with the unharmed arm.

Stiles shot another arrow at its foot, causing it to fall lamely to the ground. With a blank face, Stiles shot another wolfsbane-laced arrow at the wolf. "Playtimes over." The werewolf was howling in pain as the multiple stings raced through its body. At that moment it should've been paralyzed at least a little bit.

The hunter shook his head and retracted his bow. That was almost too easy, he barely had to fight the damn wolf.

Stiles stepped over the werewolf's body and headed back home. He glanced over his shoulder at the wolf's body, which was slowly turning limp.

"Stiles! Wake up you big doof!"

Stiles was shaken out of his weird dream by the voice of his cousin. He stirred and turned over to block out the noise. Turns out, Allison was closer than he thought and grabbed one of his pillows and proceeding to hit him with it. Stiles groaned tried blocking his face with it. "Wake up!"

"Okay, okay I'm up I'm up." he said, sitting up and rubbing his eyes. Allison stopped hitting him with the pillow and tucked it under he arm. "We're going to be late if you don't hurry up. School starts in twenty minutes and dads dropping us off soon." she explained.

The boy groaned. He and the Argent's moved to Beacon Hills a little less than a week ago and today was he and Allison's first day at Beacon Hills High School. Honestly he was dreading it just as much as any new kid would. He couldn't say the same for Allison, though. She seemed to be excited.

"Just five more minutes?" Sleep was already out of his system and he was fully awake, but he still didn't want to go to school. Allison raised the pillow up in the air ready to hit him again. "No stop! I'll get up!" Stiles protested jumping out of bed and out of his cousin's reach.

Allison let out a little noise of triumph and strutted out of the room. He rolled his eyes playfully and went over to his dresser to find something decent to wear. Deciding on a simple red hoodie and jeans, he took his time putting them on. He glanced at himself in the wall mirror next to his door and ruffled his hair to make it look somewhat presentable before heading downstairs.

Allison and Chis were at the table eating breakfast when he walked in the kitchen. Victoria was putting something in the refrigerator and smiled at Stiles when she noticed him. "Mornin." he greeted his family, letting Victoria give him a peck on the cheek. He walked past Allison on his way to the pantry, stealing a piece of her bacon on the way. "Hey!"

Chris took a sip of his coffee to hide his amused smile. "You kids ready for school?"

"No." "Yup!" Stiles and Allison answered in unison. Stiles rummaged the pantry until he found the unboxed scattered granola bars and grabbed one. He sliced the top of the wrapper with his teeth and spit out the rest.

"Eat some real food Stiles." Victoria chastised good naturedly. Stiles shrugged and took the seat next to Allison. The brunette girl ruffled his hair. "Aww don't worry Stiles, school will be fun." Ah sweet little Allison. Don't change.

"Said no one ever." he muttered, earning a scoff from Allison.

"Okay," Chris stood up from the table, "hurry up. I'll be in the car when your ready. Don't take long."

Stiles and Allison finished up eating, giving Victoria a goodbye and grabbing their bookbags before heading outside to the car.
