Klyde picked me up at 6 in his BMW and drove us over to the movie theater. It wasn't very packed considering most people were too scared to venture outside of their homes, so we got a great pick of seats.
Klyde bought the tickets and even paid for our snacks. He stuck to my side protectively; I don't know if it was because of the danger of being out or if he was trying to cozy up. Only when he tried to put his arm around me did I glare at him and remind him that this wasn't a date.
It did however cause butterflies to fly around in my stomach at the thought that he had tried to put his arm around me, but I shook my head clear. I couldn't afford to be naive in a city like ours.
It was funny how quickly Klyde and I picked up right where we left off in our friendship before Fear and Battlesword. He was funny and charming and constantly tried to put his arm around me (which still scattered the butterflies).
I didn't know what to make of this.
The movie had seemed interesting, but it seemed to be much less intriguing than Klyde's lips, which I had been staring at for the duration of the film.
Then he looked at me and caught me in the act, which made me turn as red as a tomato. He only let out a light chuckle before staring into my eyes. He had my eyes under some sort of spell because I couldn't look away from him. His magnificent green eyes shone with life.
Then, as if he was under some spell too, he reached a hand and gently stroked my cheek before closing the distance between us and bringing his lips to mine.
His lips were so soft and velvety on mine and he kissed me with a passion, as if it had built up inside of him for a long time. I tried to convince myself to stop because he had ignored me for years and now I seemed so naive to easily take him back, but when he moved his lips against mine the way he did, I almost melted. He was a great kisser, I had to give him that.
"Well, sorry to interupt your little moment here, but I'm afraid we have to be going," a dark, alluring voice spoke from behind us.
We both tensed up, as if we had been caught doing the dirty.
"By the way Klyde, I suggest hiring someone to give you kissing lessons because that has got to be the worst kiss I've ever seen," the voice said almost musically.
I groaned in annoyance. "Do you have to ruin everything?"
"Yes," Fear said and chuckled to himself as if he had told the world's greatest joke.
By this time people had begun grumbling and murmering to themselves. They turned around to glare at us which caused my face to heat up and undoubtly become red.
"Let's go, Pinkie," he said gruffly.
"Pinkie?"
"You wear pink too often."
"I wore it once."
"That's too often for my taste."
"Do I look like I care about your taste?" I asked extremely annoyed.
"Let's go, we're late," he said completely ignoring my rhetorical question. At least he had some sense to not answer it, unlike some people.
The whole while, Klyde had stayed silent and frozen. He finally spoke up at the mention of me leaving. "Who do you think you are?"
"Your master." He said with stern authority, making Klyde pause for a second. "Now scurry off low-life. Come on Eby, we have business to attend to," Fear said impatiently.
"You can't just take her away, we were on a date--"
"NOT a date--" I said but was interrupted.
"Anyways, you need to leave. You're ruining the experience for everyone." Klyde finished.
All of a sudden, Fear dropped his light-heart (well, as light-hearted as Fear could get) humor and snapped "Do you know who I am? I am God's spawn, Fear, destroyer of justice, your own personal ticking clock that measures how much life you have left!" He stood up and continued, "I control ALL of you!" he said to the audience in the theater. I rolled my eyes. He sure had a flare for the dramatic.
Klyde hadn't shrunken in his seat like the rest of the audience. He actually managed to stand up. "What do you want with Eby?"
"We have an appointment. Now if you'll excuse us, we'll be leaving," he said and grabbed onto my wrist and yanked me out of my seat.
"But--" Klyde began, but broke out into an ear-splitting scream. Fear was staring straight at Klyde and had his jaw clenched, inflicting Klyde's greatest fear on him. Klyde's scream began to tear at my heart; how could one person be in so much pain?
"Stop! Fear! I'll come with you, just leave him alone!" I said with tears in my eyes.
Fear broke his gaze away from Klyde and Klyde immediately stopped his painful wail. Fear turned to me with an annoyed look. "Fine, let's go," he said and gave my wrist another yank while he walked towards the emergency exit. He pushed the door open causing the alarms from the emergency exit door to go off, but he kept walking with me in tow.
"Where are we going?" I asked on the verge of a breakdown, tears still wet on my cheeks.
Fear stopped and took a few steps in my direction until he stood a few inches away from me. He threw a handkerchief at me and I barely caught it. He then looked at my wrist where he had held onto it and a slight look of guilt crossed his face when he saw the already growing bruise. However, the guilt soon passed and he muttered "clean yourself up." He began to push me away from the theater, but gentler this time, with his hand on my back.
I didn't know what to think, so I didn't. Even when he told me to put my arms around his neck, I didn't. Even when he picked me up bridle-style and we went up, up, and away to God knows where.
Hey Everyone!
At this point I'm writing this for my own enjoyment, but a little support would be nice.
Thanks,
Pattsy <3
