Instead of killing both Brendon and me, Mr. Dale stuck out his hand and suddenly said," Pleased to meet you, I'm Michael Dale, and I'm pretty sure you know my daughter Alexis, right?" He said it with an awkward smile, almost as if to make us less nervous. It really didn't work. So I give him nervous laugh asking Bradley

How can the funny and amazing Alexis have a dad like this?

He answers back saying, that's not her real dad remember what the golden wolf told us.

I'm confused before I remember that the wolf told us that we were all adopted.

"Ah now I remember, but still I wonder why him."

Bradley answers me saying, " All I know is that he is older than he looks. Those eyes hold a world of secrets in them."

I wonder hmmmmm....

Alexis POV

I felt darkness, the cool blissful sleep pulling at my mind, but I knew I had to stay awake and listen to my surrounding. I just had to hold on.

I knew that I was about to be pulled under, when I heard the sound of my mate's voice right next to me. When I heard that I knew I had to hear what he would say next.

Abbie was quick to agree, and so we waited for the right time to open my eyes.

As I was waiting could smell the fear and tension in the air and I thought to myself while chuckling

*Dads home*

I knew it was almost time to wake up, but I had something I need to do first, and that was something that couldn't wait another second.

I knew I had to ask Abbie the question that has been bugging me right after she said it. I had to ask her what a mate was.

So to ask her I went deep into my mind, I went into a door at the back of my mind and opened it to see a black wolf with red flames on her tail, paws, and ears.

I took one look at her and knew that it was my wolf Abbie.

She gave me the best smirk she could muster in the form of a wolf, and she looked so hilarious that I just had to laugh. I tried my hardest not to laugh, but when she tried to glare I just burst out laughing, until I was on the ground with tears in my eyes.

She gave me a cold look, that made me stop laughing almost immediately. Abpbie nodded her head in thanks and then said to me,"well now that that is over sit down so I can tell you about mates."

So I sat and listened intently as she described what a mate was, and as I was listening what I heard changed my life forever!
