*2 years later*
"Babe, I'm back" calum called as he walked through the door towards the kitchen and set the grocery bags on the kitchen counter
"Calum!" Michael called and jumped into his arms
"How was school?" Calum asked and walked them to the couch, Calum dropped out of school when they moved to Seattle so he could work to support them, but he insisted that Michael continued to go to school, so now Michael is a senior in high school and Calum couldn't be more proud
"It sucked ass, the fucking teachers suck" Michael huffed and Calum frowned
"Just one more year, then you don't ever have to go back" Calum kissed his temple and they looked at each other when Michaels phone rang, it was a random number. He picked his phone up cautiously and look at Calum as if he was asking permission to answer it so Calum nodded and Michael put the phone on speaker
"Hello?" He said, his voice broke because he was just so nervous
"Hi, is this Michael?" The voice spoke on the other line and he furrowed his eyebrows, the only people that have his new number is Calum and a few people from school
"Yes, and who is this?"
"It's your mom, Karen" Michael glanced back up at Calum and swallowed the lump in his throat, Calum just bit his lip not knowing what to do
"How did you find my number?" He asked anger and confusion in his voice, he hates that woman with every piece of him
"I went through a few phone books" he sighed and asked himself if those things even still existed
"What do you want?"
"Please come back home, I'm sorry about everything" he shook his head and hung up one her
"What do I do?" He asked Calum and he just looked at him with wide eyes
"Go see her, hear her out" Michael was confused, he was sure that Calum would have said to ignore it and that she only wanted attention, but he found himself nodding at the words
"Can you come with me?" Calum nodded and hugged his small boyfriend
"Let's watch a movie and take a nap for now, then we'll call back and talk to her more" Michael nodded and laid his head in calums lap and fell asleep
