Camila's pov

Blood, sweat, and tears.

At least that was all that Camila had seen come from the opposing teams bench for the whole period. They were currently facing the ice hogs, the last place team in their division. It was only the end of the first period but Camila's team, the Sabres, were winning 3-0. She'd taken a little peak at the girl she'd just hit, who was currently skating over to her bench but with her upper half bowed down. Camila could only assume that'd she'd put a little too much into that hit because she saw blood coming from the girls nose followed by tears that were threatening to go under the underside of her cage. The coach started to turn his head to Camila before she whipped it around to focus on her teammates.

"Alright ladies, good first period but we need a stronger forecheck. You can't let them have time and space to think, we need to do F1, F2, first girl on the body and second on the puck. Also we need to capitalize on the opportunities that they give us, we know that by forcing them that they'll give up the puck. Other than that it is all good ladies! Remember we have to work hard all three periods. Sabres on three." Camila says as everyone sticks their hand in the middle, with Lauren's hand covering Camila's.

"One, two, three Sabres!!!" Everyone cheers.

Camila looks to the bench to find her parents in the bleachers cheering her along. Her dad catches her eye and he gives a wink to her, and her mom puts her hand over her heart. It's been their sign since Camila can remember, she just knows that her mom does that because she's sending her love and support towards her, it's really special to Camila. The younger Cuban turns her attention toward her line mate and takes her hand into hers causing the green-eyed girl to face her.

"Yea Camz?" Lauren asks.

"Be careful, I don't want to lose you, you're one of the best." Camila says, she was to nervous before the game to say anything to Lauren but now that they have a little time she wanted to let Lauren know that.

"Oh, and watch out for number 12, she's a rough one." Camila adds in and Lauren is so tempted to kiss her right then and there.

"Thanks baby." Lauren says, retreating back out of the door from the bench that she was just on, but not before turning around and sending a confused glance at Camila.

"You coming?" She asks, to which Camila just stares at her for a few seconds before snapping back into reality.

"Pffh, Yea totally." Camila answers, trying to play it off like it's nothing but when Lauren sends her another glance, this time it's more of a knowing glance that Camila was staring at her ass. What could the girl say, Lauren had a great butt and Camila wasn't one to deny the type of pleasures that involved her staring at the green eyed girls backside.

Camila skates onto the ice and heads over to the face off circle, looking to her left to find Lauren there, and to her right she finds Dinah. The ref blows the whistle and Camila re-enters into her zone of focus on the one and only thing that matters more than bananas, the puck, and of course, Lauren.

After the game

Camila heads out of the girls locker room and sees her parents standing outside of her locker room door.

"You're amazing sweetie, we're so proud of you. Keep playing like that and you'll be going to UCLA in no time." Her father says.

"Dad! I'm only in grade 10 let's not get too ahead of ourselves, but thank you I appreciate it." Camila says, her parents go in for a group hug just after Lauren walks out of her dressing room, immediately spotting Camila. Deciding that it's better if the younger girl has some alone time she starts heading back in before she hears Camila's voice call out to her.
