Sometimes the heart sees what is invisble to the eyes

Bella POV

I angrily slammed the front door, almost knocking it off the hinges, when the Cullens walked out of my house. My eyes wandered around the living room and I screamed, overwhelmed with everything that had just occured. Running over to the kitchen, I ripped open the cupboards, and threw dishes and glasses to the unwelcoming ground. They smashed, leaving sharp shards of glass all around the kitchen. Eventually, I ran out of plates to throw and I moved to the next cupboard, throwing it open and reaching in just to pull out a chipped piece of expensive china Charlie had gotten from his wife Susan after I died. I was about to whip it at the ground with the other glass when I realized what I was doing. I stared in horror at the mess I had made. Slowly, I walked backwards until I hit the wall behind me. Covering my mouth with my hands I slid down until I was in a sitting position on the floor. My mind realized that I had just destroyed some of the only things I had left of my deceased father. I screamed in anguish and started to cry; or at least as close to crying as ghosts could manage. I stayed there for about an hour, sobbing loudly on the dusty floor of the house I used to call home. Eventually I decided to get up. I walked out of the kitchen and up to my room, completely ignoring the possibly dangerous glass littering the ground.

It was about six o'clock in the morning when I remembered I had school. I didn't know if would be okay seeing the Cullens again but I knew if I missed anymore school I would get detention. After a heated internal debate with myself I decided to just toughen up and go school. I walked to my closest and decided on a darker look. I wore skin tight, black jeans and a dark purple, long sleeved tee. I paired them with black, leather, lace up combat boots. I curled my hair and didn't put any make up on, seeing as I didn't need it. After a quick glance at the mirror I headed out to my car. Once I was sure I had all my supplies I drove towards the high school.

When I got out of my car a bunch of guys (and even some girls) stared at me with mouths agape, but unlike my first day here I didn't smirk at them or make any smart comments, in fact I barely registered them staring at me because I was too busy looking for a certain silver volvo. Unfortunately I spotted the car in it's old spot surrounded by not-so-teenage-vampires. The Cullen teens were staring intently at me, but I just ignored them and walked to my first lesson, English.

When I sat down in a desk near the back of the room I was happy to see a Cullen free classroom. For the next forty five minutes our class silently continued reading the book Divergent.

After English I went to Health, a class that, thankfully has no Cullens. Mr. Bullens started ramble on about the human muscles; something I was already well educated about (don't ask), so I decided to zone out for the rest of class. About forty minutes later the bell rang, pulling me out of my thoughts.

I stopped at my locker a dropped off my books. The next two classes on my schedule were, lamentably, PE and Calculus, both of which had Cullens in them. I sighed. At least they were tolerable Cullens.

Once I quickly changed into my gym strip and put my hair into a bun I walked into the gym. Jasper and Emmett were apparently very excited to see me because they were standing right outside the girls changeroom like perverts and when I walked out they both immediately jumped up and started walking with me. "So Bellsy, what's it like being a ghost? Can you like fly and stuff? Oh and go through things? Wait can you-"

Jasper interrupted Emmett mid-sentence, "Just let her talk Em," he said smirking slightly. I nodded to him in thanks.

"It's fine I guess," I told them.

"Come on Izzy, even Jasper thinks that's a lame answer," Emmett groaned and looked at the other Cullen who nodded. They both stared at me for a good minute before I finally relented and started to talk.

"Okay fine. To answer your questions Emmett being a ghost is fun... sometimes. I can't actually touch or move anything so I have to use my mind and it's really tiring but it's good because I can never get dirty or anything like that. I can fly, and I can go through things. One time I accidently floated through this lady when I was invisble and discovering how to be a ghost, it was so creepy because I could see all her intestines and stuff. It was gross," I shivered. Jasper and Emmett burst out laughing and soon I joined in.

"So Bell- er Izzy do you want to make a team with us? It'll be fun," the two Cullen boys asked. I looked them over and slowly nodded. "Yes!" they both yelled and bumped fists. I rolled my eyes and hit each of them on the back of the head. They both smiled at me and I realized just how much I had missed them.

"Jasper, Emmett?" I asked. They both looked at me. "You guys can call me Bella." Both of them smiled at me.

"It's good to have you back Bella," Jasper smiled at me. Then the three of us walked over to the center of the gym where Coach Mann was waiting for everyone.

"Alright class, today we are playing volleyball again. Find a team and a court and begin." Jasper, Emmett and I began walking to another group of three people we could join with, when Coach Mann called out, "Oh and by the way we have a new student joining us next class. You probably know him, he's on the school soccer team, it's Edward Cullen. He'll be starting tomorrow." I froze.
