~Nina's pov~

What have I done! Everyone was right it was a BIG mistake to go to dinner with Derek! Ian will understand want he? I mean Derek kissed me I didn't ask him to! Remain calm nina everything will be fine.

"It's the next house on the left" I say to the taxi driver

He pulls up in kats driveway. Her house is big it's two story's surrounded with beautiful gardens with flowers of all colours.

"Thank you" I say to the driver "how much do I owe you?" I ask

"Nothing miss dobrev" he says and winks at me. I can't help but smile he knows who I am obviously.

I step out of the car and wave, he rolls down the window "cheer up miss dobrev" he says and drives away.

Here in Atlanta their are ALOT of rude people and crazy fans, but their are a lot of kind thoughtful people like the taxi driver, and a lot of kind fans who actually care about us not our title or popularity.

I turn around and rush to kats big wooden door with three glass stripes. I knock and their is no answer. I ring the door bell desperately hoping she isn't asleep and that she is actually home.

I'm about to turn around and attempt to walk home since I can't call anyone else, when I hear the door open. I quickly turn around to see Kat standing their staring at me.

Gosh I must look like a mess. My hair is probably fizzy and my makeup must be smudge by all the crying. No wonder the driver was so nice to me he probably felt sorry for me.

"Nina baby come inside quickly!" Kat says sweetly but her voice has a hint of worry

I do as she says. I walk inside and close the door behind me. Iv been over kats house millions of times, we have gotten really close over the past couple of years.

She is someone who is so kind and considerate of everyone's feelings.

I look to see her sitting on the couch staring straight at the tv. I sit next to her confused as to why she isn't talking when I hear my name. I'm in utter shock when I realise it's coming from the tv.

"The rumours of nina dobrev and ian somerhalder getting back together were finally set straight as the team of enews got confirmation tonight as we saw nina dobrev and her other ex Derek houghs enjoying a passionate kiss tonight. They appeared to be on a date. Nina dobrev left in a hurry when she saw the big crowd but we were able to get the inside from Derek hough." The reporter from enews said. They had it all us sitting there him placing his hand on mine, is drinking wine and the kiss! That meaningless kiss that is going to ruin everything!

They have completely twisted it around to make it look as if we are together. They made the dinner look romantic but it was honestly the worst dinner of my life!

Just as I thought the report was finished the screen changed and Derek popped up and appears to be talking to a reporter. GREAT. Just what I need.

Reporter: "are you and nina dobrev officially back together?"

Derek: "it's complicated but I would say yes"

Reporter: " as you probably know she is rumoured to be dating ian somerhalder again, have you got any information on this?"

Derek: "ian and nina once had something magical but magic doesn't last forever and I think they have both realised that. Plus ian doesn't love her. I do. Put it together. I have to go but it was nice talking to you"
