Felix rarely call me nang naging sila ni Lhyka. Kung tutuosin, isang beses lang niya akong tinawagan and that was when he asked me about a certain project that we have last semester. I waited for a few moments before I answered his call.

"Felix?"

He didn't talked right away that's why I called his name again. Baka mamaya napindot lang niya. After a few seconds I heard him sighed.

"You busy?"

"Okay ka lang?" I knitted my brows. He's usually cheerful. Hindi ako sanay sa ganitong Felix.

"I wanna go for a drink tonight. Are you free?"

I sighed. He knows that I don't drink. "Where? I'll accompany you but I won't drink"

"Okay lang ba na diyan nalang sa bahay mo? My sister's here. She can't see me with alcohol"

"But you'll go home afterwards. Okay? Because if you got drunk and hindi mo na kaya I swear I'll place you outside the house and let you sleep at the doorstep!"

"Yeah. I'll be there in a few minutes." He ended the call after saying that.

Dati kapag andiyan si Felix, I get conscious of myself. Like I check my face three times in the mirror and try to act and see how I look when I talk to him. I even eat a gum after brushing my teeth. Its funny now that I think of it. I didn't bother changing my house clothes or even try cleaning the room. Not that its messy, but my things that are supposed to be in my bag and room are around the place.

It didn't took long before I heard a knock on my gate. I looked at the window and saw him waiting. He called my name when he noticed that the door is not moving yet. Wow kuya, wait ha! Ikaw 'tong makikituloy 😑

I went outside and opened the gate for him. Dala niya yung motor niya kaya I was thinking na hindi siya dapat malasing. And wow lang mga tsong si Kuya box ng alak ang dala!

"You don't have plans on drinking all of that right?"

"Nope..." I sighed, "...ipapaligo ko lang" lasing na ata 'to kahit di pa siya nagsisimula.

"Sira! Tara na nga" I wait for him na matanggal niya ang box then guided him sa sofa.

"Any refreshments you like before mo tunggain yan?" Iling lang ang sagot.

"How about pulutan? May eatery diyan sa kanto"

"No, Einnah. Thank you. Nagorder ako ng sisig samin." Sisig?! Omg. Natatakam ako. "I hope hindi ka pa nagddinner. Tatlo inorder ko para satin"

Nagpunta ako sa kusina and nagsandok ng pasta na niluto ko. Then kumuha ako ng 3 plato para sa sisig and plato namin.

I went back sa sofa at inalis lahat ng kalat sa table. I placed the plates and nilagay naman ni Felix ang sisig sa plato. Nilagyan ko na ang plate ko ng pasta then kumuha din ako ng sisig niya.

Masarap kaya 'to pagsamahin? Parang kanin lang naman ang pasta diba?

I went back sa kitchen to get some water sa ref then bumalik ako at nilapag ang pitsel sa lamesa namin. I noticed na kumuha na din siya ng pagkain niya and started eating. Nakabukas na rin siya ng beer.

I turned on the tv para kahit papano ay may ingay. I sat beside him then started eating. Masyado akong focused sa pinapanuod ko kaya medyo nagulat ako ng magsimula siyang magsalita.

"Fuck my love life" that really caught my attention.

"There must be really something wrong with me" he continued while staring at the tv at ako naman nakatingin lang sakanya.

"Actually parang wala naman" I unconsciously answered.

"Yeah. I don't think so too." He laughed then look at me. Baliw na 'to titingin pa eh!

"Ba't kaya hindi nalang ikaw?"

"Ay wow, ano to pasahan? Sorry, I can't handle pain eh" pabebe kong sabi. Natawa naman siya at iiling iling.

"What I mean is, bakit kaya hindi nalang ikaw yung niligawan ko? Siguro magmamatch tayo"

Okay.

Kami daw? Hah! Akala niya-- Tss. I mentally sighed

"Were good as friends Felix. Pero as a couple? I don't think so"

"There's just a little difference. Besides, doesn't friends become lovers?" medyo nangingiti niyang sabi.

"They do. But not us"

He looked at me in the eyes before he smiled. Kinuha niya yung beer niya para uminom ulit bago nagsalita. "Yeah. Not us"

Felix left his motorcycle that night. Umuwi siya sakanila and babalikan nalang daw niya bukas.

Kahit nagusap na kami there's still one question that I wasn't able to get an answer.

What went wrong with him and Lhyka?
