Chapter 9- Taken by surprise

We were on the plane now flying to L.A Niki and I were so pumped we have been dreaming of going there since we were little kids, becoming rock stars and living the L.A life. 

I plugged in my earphones and listened to music basically the whole way there with Matt sitting next to me and we were mouthing the lyrics to the songs that came on. Since Matt and I were related we liked the same music so we were having fun. Plus Matt and I have a really close relationship so we get along easily even though I want to kick him in the nuts sometimes I still love him. 

The plane landed and we all grabbed our luggage and decided to go straight to the hotel and unpack and go to bed because it was really late and we were all exhausted. 

I was walking up to my room when all of a sudden someone grabbed my arm and pulled me out of the hallway and into a room. I looked up to see Shawn hovering over me I was wondering were he went. 

Before I could get any words out his lips were pushed into mine and for some odd reason I didn’t hesitate to kiss back. It got really heated and I jumped up and wrapped my legs around his hips and pulled him closer. He started kissing my neck causing little moans to escape from my mouth. After about 5 minutes on fully making out I hoped down and was absolutely dumb founded. 

What the fuck just happened Shawn is one of my best friends and I just basically sucked his face off. Omg what is gonna happen now. Wait a minute he kissed me, why did he kiss me?!?!? Does he like me?!?!? all these questions were floating around my head when all of a sudden I was brought out of my thoughts when he started talking. 

“Woah, I definitely wasn’t expecting that” he said biting his lip, why am I being really turned on right now, did I like him back?!?!? I have no idea how I feel. 

“Yeah me either, why’d did you kiss me?” I said looking deep into his eyes. 

“Umm....Well.... Look Jaz the thing is..... I like you a lot actually and hearing you sing today just made me need to have ok I’m sorry if saying something like this will ruin the way you think of me. I just wanted you to know that I like you a lot and think you are the most beautiful person in the world and I would do anything to protect you and keep you safe” he said looking deep into my eyes still not losing eye contact. 

“Nothing would ever change what I think about you Shawn, I don’t exactly know what just happened but I liked it, a lot, just now I’m experiencing some feelings for you that I have never felt before. Shawn can you give me some time to think about everything” I said, why did I say that. I liked him a lot and I wanted him to. My mouth just made words come out I feel like an idiot. 

“No it’s ok I understand take as much time as you need.” he said with a smile spread across his beautiful face. Wow I didn’t realise how easy and quick you can fall for a person until now. 

“I’m gonna head to bed now, Night Shawn” I said giving him a hug it was a long hug and I felt safe a secure in his arms I wanted to stay like this forever. 

We finally let go and I left the room and walked into my room where I saw Niki laying on the bed. 

“Umm where have you been, you came up here 20 minutes ago and I came up 10 minutes after you and you weren’t here I was getting worried” Niki said running over to me and helping me with my bags. 

“Sorry, I was ahhh....I was umm.....” I got cut off. 

“Holy fucking shit. You just pashed didn’t you?” she said looking at me and elbowing me is the arm and them jumping up and down. “WHO WAS IT? WHO DID YOU MAKE OUT WITH?” she screamed.

“Jesus, shut up Niki, It was Shawn ok, he told me he liked me, we made out or a long long long time” I said drifting off. 

“HOLY SHIT JAZ REALLY, PRETTY CANADIAN BOY, HE IS HOT TOO, BUT WHAT THE FUCK YOU GUYS ARE BESTIES OMG HE WASN’T FRIEND ZONED GOOD ON HIM” she said and kept rambling on. 

I ignored her and decided to get into my pjs and go to sleep. Niki finally shut up and got into bed as well. 

I was drifting to sleep thinking about what just happened. Has he liked all this time? How long has he liked me for? Why was I so blind I didn’t see that he liked me that way? So many questions were going through my head and I didn’t know the answers to. 

Eventually I fell asleep. Lost in all my thoughts.
