The soft symphony of violins gently played throughout the restaurant that was buzzing with conversation. Evan and Evie walked side by side, each dressed fitting for the scene. Evan was decked out in a dark gray suit accompanied with black dress shoes and a black tie. Evie was dressed in a long, flowing, navy blue dress with silver studs, a sparkling diamond necklace, and blue strapped heels. Her hair was curled and in a slight undo with small bits of hair hanging at the sides.

"Not bad..." Evan muttered as he guided Evie over to a reserved table closer towards the back.

"For a snake pit" Evie finished, "I expected more green."

The twins glanced around at their surroundings. The room was illuminated by soft lighting, with timber tables and red lounge seats lined with red material. There were various people spread out amongst the restaurant. Couples, singles, and families all enjoying a good night out. Evie sighed irritably as she fidgeted in her seat, sparing a glance here and there at the other diners.

"So are we clear on the plan?" Evan asked as he read over the menu.

"Crystal" Evie responded dryly as she quickly surveyed the menu. 'Maybe some steak.'

"What's wrong with you?" Evan asked, placing down his menu before observing his sister. "You've been so off lately with everyone, especially Katrina."

Evie sighed loudly as she too placed down her menu, meeting her brother's gaze. The twin blue eyes peered at each other, neither willing to be the first to break the gaze.

"Sorry, am I interrupting?" a voice interrupted.

The twins glared sharply at each other before turning their gazes in the direction of the voice, their eyes falling upon the waitress that had spoken before. She was a small girl, with auburn hair and blue eyes. She blushed a bright red under their gazes.

"I'll be your waitress for this evening, were you ready to order?" she stuttered out, her eyes averted.

"No" the twins muttered in sync as they turned back to each other, ignoring the slight squeak from the girl as she hurried away.

"Evie, what's wrong?" Evan tried again, his voice more gentle than before.

"Look, it's not that I don't trust Kat's judgment, it's just how can we be sure that Rhea can be trusted? She could completely screw us over and yet she's welcome with open arms" Evie ranted, her tone moderate to prevent others from hearing. "And further more, Kat's reasons for revenge are pathetic."

"Watch yourself" Evan warned as he listened to his sister's rant, his tone threatening.

"You know it too, Rin Addison was nothing more than an enemy that could've gotten her killed. It's better he is out of her life now but she's still pining after him like a love sick puppy." Evie argued, her tone hushed yet bitter.

"She loved him, Evie, those feeling don't just fade away so easily" Evan counter argued.

"She disappears and suddenly reappears looking like someone else and starts making all of these decisions. It's like we don't even know her anymore" Evie continued, her voice taking on a sadder tone as she stared down at the table. "We shouldn't even be doing this, it'll completely destroy any foundation of peace that we have left."

Evan sighed deeply as he shifted his body, placing his arms on the table as he continued to peer at Evie.

"That may be so sis, however, we have to trust that Kat knows what she's doing and as of late, that foundation of peace is fading quicker than expected, we need to be ready," Evan concluded as he leaned back into the lounge chair.

"Yeah, just look at what happened to Tessa," Evie remarked bitterly before silencing as Evan cast a dark look her way.

"Don't...just don't" he warned.

Evie huffed softly before pushing a few of her loose curls out of her face as the waitress from before shuffled over towards them.

"Are you guys ready to order?" she asked softly.

"Steak, medium rare" they answered in sync once again, sparing a brief smile with each other.

"Right" she responded before ducking away.

There was a brief moment of silence as she walked away. Evie pursed her lips slightly, fingers fiddling with the material of her dress.

"We've lost our girl haven't we?" she finally muttered after the silence had passed.

Evan winced as though actually hurt by the words spoken as he pursed his lips too, mirroring Evie's expression.

"We lost her the day she found out Rin was dead," Evan said gravely. "I think in a way, the change in look was to let go of that part of herself. Revenge is probably the closest thing to closure that she'll get."

"She still has her ring" Evie piped in, "I think it'll take a lot more than a facial construction for her to let him go."

"She'll never let him go" he replied, "A love like that, can't just be let go."

The two fell silent as they listened to the ongoing symphonies that continued to play. Time passed slowly as their previous conversation held heavily in the air. The waitress returned carrying two decent sized plates with steak and a side of fries. The twins smiled in thanks as they slowly began to eat their meal. Evan glanced down at the watch on his wrist, 9:47.

"Almost time" he commented as he cut up another piece of steak.

Evie nodded in response as she took a bite from her plate.

"You ready?" he asked as he began neatly putting aside his cutlery and wiping his lips with a napkin. "I'm actually a tad disappointed, this place was starting to grow on me"

Evie let out a tiny laugh at his joke as she nodded mirroring his movements before leering at the other patrons surrounding the restaurant, drawing her gaze back to Evan.

"Maybe we should leave the poor girl a tip, she seemed a little thrown off by our twin magic" she teased as they gathered themselves together.

Evan smirked in response as he held out his arm to his sister in a gentleman fashion.

"Let burn this pit to the ground"
