Happy Easter hope you guys are enjoying it

***Bri's pov***

"i dont know what it is but something tells me you like to have long talks to try and figure people out" i admited

"something tells me your a mind reader" soda said smirking

"haha so whats up" i asked

"okay well... first i just want you to know that you can trust me with everything. i know you have a big brother to already do that but i really feel like we have a connection that we didnt find out about yet. so i know its going to take you awhile to gain trust in me considering you just met me tonight but i just get the feeling you have been through alot and so have i and i relized it feels better when you talk to somene about it and as you can see im always around guys and they never really care. i can talk to ponyboy and im hopeing i can talk to you too" soda said fittling around with his thumbs

i was kind of shocked when i heard these words come out of his mouth. i just wasnt expecting them. i know i was starting to get over all of these sterio types about greasers but than again if they were different why do they still call them selves that. just listening to sodas voice and staring into his eyes really made me believe that i could trust him. i took this as a good opportunity to tell him things that i just couldnt tell steve. i know ill always be closer to steve because hes family but i just feel like it would be too awkward if i told steve everything.

"thats really good to know sodapop thank you and just from the start when i first met you i felt like we were gonna have a connection too. its strange i just feel like i have known you forever and can tell you everything" i said still shocked from his long speech

"anytime" he replyed with a big smile "so what happened tonight when you and steve ran in and disappeared for like an hour" he carefully asked

"oh gosh.. well you see meeting you guys was actually somewhat of an accident" i stated

"what do you mean" he responded tilting his head to the side interested in my long story

"its an extremely long story. would you mind if i started all the way from the beginning" i asked raising both of my eyebrows

"not at all" he answered while putting a pillow behind his back to get comfortable for my novel

"okay great... gosh im not even sure where to begin. i guess ill start all the way back from when i was born" i said laughing

"oh wow okay" soda said smirking

"so its just me and steve at home with our parents. and things used to be a lot different. we grew up on the south side of town or the wealthier side with a big house and everything. we truely had the life.. as i could remember it atleast. the problem was our parents thought they were great and had so much money and they began to gamble. they were out gambling about once a month which turned into once a week which than turned into almost everyday. they had a serious gambling problem. steve and i were still too young to relize but my father soon lost his job and we were only living on my mothers small income and they still spent all of it gambling. with in a few weeks we had moved into the small house we live in today. all of this down grade and depression made my father start to develope a drinking problem. it wasnt long before my mother got this problem too. ever since then they have been gone all of the time getting drunk and screwing up there lives" i admitted starting to tear up

"awh bri im so sorry" soda said starting to tear up as well

"oh soda, thats not even the worst part" i said looking into his bright blue eyes "our parents were very unhappy with the life they had. when i was about 7 and stevey was 12 they started to..... they started to.... abuse us" i whispered looking down at the couch. i could see the shocked expression on his face. but i continued "they would physically hurt me and steve when ever they were home and blame us for there shitty life. one day steve confidently told our dad a secret while he was whipping steve's back with a belt. my dad was so stunned by the secret he never abused him again. however that didnt stop him from hurting me. as we got older steve took it upon himself to protect me from them and act as a father figure to me. he would make me breakfast, pack my lunch, read me storys at night, help me with school, and listen to my problems. he was just everything a parent should be. But what didnt make sense at the time was steve always would tell me to stay away from greasers and socs and that they were bad people and that i never should be apart of a gang. he made me think greasers and socs were a disgrace. but the unthinkable happened today, this morning steve had to go out for alittle and he said he would be back before sunset. when he got home it was to late" i continued. soda immediatly got wide eyed and put his hand over his mouth
