I smiled to myself as I watched Lance leave to tend to his lion. I wanted so badly to follow him but we were going slow. And we didn't want the others to suspect anything from us. So I stood there and made up some conversations with the others.

Suddenly, the entire ship shuttered and I stumbled slightly, frowning as alarms started going off, the room blinking red as the princes bought up a map of the entire castle, showing a red area. "The blue chamber has been breached! It's being torn apart!"

I felt my stomach flip. It was like I had been walking and didn't notice a dip in the road before I stepped in it. Lance was down there!

I heard lance scream in agony and spun, screaming his name as I ran towards the sounds of pain. "KEITH!" He screamed back, sounding weak as the sickening sounds of metal being torn apart filled my ears. I ignored it and kept running.

I saw lance standing, holding his leg as his body leant against a wall, eyes blood shot as he looked like he may just faint. He was going into shock.

The leg he was holding, was almost completely cut from his body by a shard of metal from the side of the ship. The scene was grotesque and horrifying.

"No!" I yelled and ran to him, catching him as he fell, he looked so weak.

I held his body close as he drifted in and out of consciousness, skin extremely pale. "You're gonna be fine! Lance! Buddy you're gonna be fine okay?!"

"Get him to a healing pod! The rest of you get to tour lions and protect the blue lion! No one but lance can get it out of there!" She ordered and I jumped to my feet, only to hear Hunk Gag and run.

I looked down at lances leg which seemed to be holding on by a few bits of muscle and skin. I nearly vomited myself but I ran to the healing chambers. "Come on!" I whined and went to put him in.

"He can't go in with that leg! It won't heal!" The princess said urgently and I looked down at him horrified. "There are certain things magic can't do and it can't fix his leg.. he's going to have to loose it..." she said sadly.

I bit and laid him down, breathing deeply as I waved my hand at my side, my weapon appearing in my hand before I turned it into a sword. "Its gonna be okay..." I whispered to his still form, his eyes barely open as I ran my fingers through his hair. "Look away princess..." I mumbled and she put her hand on my shoulder before turning away.

I drove my sword into his leg, making it a little higher then the part already detached, so that he would still have a knee but he won't have to worry about bone growth.

I heard him whimper, even in his shock is body was aware of his pain. "Sh..." I whispered and held his cheek "you're gonna be okay..." I mumbled and the princess sighed.

"He must go in the pod before he looses too much blood..." she said and I nodded, the sword dissapearing as I picked him up and carried him to the pod, laying him in it as he floated and the pod closed.

I put my hand on it as his body glowed and looked at my feet as I felt my eyes water.

"You should go to your lion and help them Keith... they're at a disadvantage without lance as it is."

"I'm not leaving him..." I muttered coldly and she put her hand on my shoulder.

"I know what's happening between you Keith... and I'm sorry that he got hurt, but please, if lance could walk right now he would stand up and fight. Do the same. Please. I'll watch over him..." she said softly and I felt my eyes water and I nodded.

"Alright..." I mumbled and took my hand from the pod, walking away stifly. But the princess called me back.

"Keith?"

"Yes?"

"Avenge him. Make it pay for costing him his leg..." I couldn't help but smile slightly as I nodded once and ran to my lions area, boarding it and flying out to help.

We couldn't form voltron without lance but I would make this thing pay for hurting him.

I went to the others and shot at them. "Let's kill this thing!" I yelled and shot my lions beam at the monster, I'd never been so angry in my life. Not since... the academy...

I grunted as the monster shot me back but I bit into the monsters arm. "You'll freaking PAY!" I yelled and my lion sent the beam right through his arms.

"Be careful Keith! You can't let your anger control you!" Shiro warned and I breathed heavily.

"Right... sorry..."

"Is lance..." pidge sounded worried. "Is he..."

"He's alive... I had to.." I felt sick. "He lost a leg..." I covered my mouth haunchjmg over in my seat, my camera wasn't on at least so no one would see this sudden weakness.

"Oh my god..." pidge whimpered I took off my helmet for a moment to clean my face up. "Poor lance he won't... he will loose it..." she whimpered.

"I think I can get in touch with some people who can build him a new leg... but we can't form voltron without blue... we may have to..."

"Go into hiding... it seems like our best option..." I mumbled before the tentacle hit my lion hard. I think I blacked out because the last thing I remembered was white.
