Here is bridge chapter #1

~ First Year ~
|Lux like Leah|

"Wingardium Leviosa!" I yell at the feather. Nothing happens.
"Come on Leah, all you have to do is -"
"SHUT THE FLIP UP KEIRA." Everyone in the room stares at me.
"... five points from Ravenclaw," Flitwick says. I scowl at Keira, who's struggling to hide her grin.
"'S'not funny," I mumble. Cassie - we have charms with the Hufflepuffs - makes eye contact with me from across the room, grinning. I show her a finger.
"Leah, I don't want to have to take any more points away from Ravenclaw!"
"Sorry, Professor Flitwick."

We've been in school for a while now. It's fun, but wingardium leviosa is annoying me. I just can't get it right!
"Homework is to practice the levitating spell. Have a great evening!"

As usual, after I've done some homework, I go out onto the school grounds, under the tree where we all always meet up. Sure enough, all my friends are gathered under a tree. Char seems to be ranting aggressively. I slide next to Kiki and ask what's going on.
"JAMES POTTER-"
Of course.
"What's he done this time?"
"He was being so ANNOYING, and when I started yelling he LAUGHED, and-"
"She jinxed him. Well, tried to. He shielded himself, and unfortunately for her tell-tale Tessa went and told McGonagall and they both have detention."
"It's so unfair! And he's gonna annoy me all through detention. And all because I was sitting on his stupid bloody chair again."
"Char he just tries to wind you up-"
"I KNOW. AND IT'S WORKING."
"Why don't you just stop sitting on the chair?"
"It's the prinCIPLE, LEAH!" She goes off on a tangent but since she does a similar rant daily I don't pay much attention. It doesn't matter how much we urge her to just ignore him, she never does. I think a part of her secretly enjoys the confrontation, just a little bit.

(Okay, a lot.)

Sitting with my friends, though, I realise how happy I am. I get to go to school to learn magic with some of my best friends. Having so many friends in school - massively outnumbering those who don't like me, no less - is pretty much a dream. Even if I can't get the hang of wingardium leviosa....

In a rush of determination, I focus hard and point my wand at Cassie's phone. She looks startled.
"Wingardium Leviosa." It floats out of her hands and hovers just out of her reach.
"Le - Leah! Congrats but give my phone back."
"No."
"LEAH."
"This is payback for you laughing at me earlier," I laugh, and she scowls. Just to annoy her, I add in a cheeky "you can only not reach it because you're short."

She runs up to me and pushes me, and I lose focus.
"I may be short, lux like leah, but I mastered that spell ages ago." I flip her off and she laughs. Char, who caught Cassie's phone mid-rant, passes it back to her.
"What would I do without you?" Cassie asks. Char is about to answer when Cassie cuts in.
"I was talking about my phone," she deadpans.

Lol I'm not that sassy or funny irl oops

~Second Year ~
|Steph|

"You sure this is a good idea? Will the hufflepuffs not get mad?"
"Relax, Char. EVERYONE does it these days."
"You couldn't get away with it in Gryffindor-"
"But that's Gryffindor," Cassie cuts in. "Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff are much more chill."
"Wow. Thanks," Char mutters under her breath, her eyes drinking in the new environment. The common room looks beautiful on this October afternoon. It's almost empty, since most of the school are at Hogsmede for their Halloween outing, but obviously some of us are still too young to go. None of my fellow classmates so much as bat an eyelid as we bring in Char - in fact, some even smile and wave to her. We all bring in friends from other houses - it's technically against the rules, but socially as long as they keep fairly quiet no one cares.

We sit on the sofa together idly, chatting about random topics by the warm fire.
"I do worry about Albus," says Char. Him and Scorpius are our friends - well, sort of. Albus is too caught up in his own problems and bullies to recognise us as such, but I think Scorpius appreciates us, even if we can't see them much.
"Yeah. He's always been a bit - well, you know. But he doesn't even talk to us anymore. He's completely isolating himself, from everyone but Scorpius..."
"Yeah..."
"Hey guys! Oh, Char, hi." Em strolls over, looking slightly sad.
"What's up?"
"I just feel bad for Rose. We're doing a project together and we've just been talking, and she told me she hasn't spoken to her mum in months. MONTHS. Being head of magical law enforcement must be hard work..."
"The Potter-Granger-Weasley clan seem to be having a lot of troubles right now," says Cassie.
"Yep. Especially James Potter, since he was wobbling around the common room last night," Char snorted.
I stand up.
"You didn't."
"I did. Got a detention for it, but it was worth it."
"Char."

Char was furious, and James knew it. He laughed at her, only fuelling her fury. Unbeknownst to him, however, she drew her wand, and got him with the jellylegs jinx before he knew what hit him.
"Char! No jinxing fellow students," a prefect said, grabbing her arm, but she seemed slightly amused. James Potter was often deemed a nuisance by older students immune to his charms, and no one could deny a second year jinxing a fourth year was not something you saw every day. Char smirked, and even as she was being yelled at by the head of house she couldn't help but grin. The look on that prick's face was worth a thousand detentions.
