Sienna was running out of time. The Observers were watching her every move, and she had to hurry if she was going to finish her mission. Her parents, even though they were Observers, were not allowed to watch her test.

Sienna knew the cost of her mission. She would be disowned by her family, constantly on the run from the law, and she could never go back to her normal life. As soon as she finished her task, there would be no turning back. What she was about to do was unforgivable in the eyes of the Council, and she would never be safe again.

She was willing to sacrifice everything though, for the cause she stood for. This would change her society forever, and get rid of the tests forever. Growing up in the highest rank, Sienna wasn't really exposed to the brutality of the tests, even though she had been preparing since she was 8.

As she clicked the last lever into place, she knew as soon as she pushed the white button, everything she knew would be eliminated. She pushed the thought of what was to come away, and she felt a small smile tug at the corner of her lips. A commotion arose from the glass room, suspended above the arena, as the Observers realized what she was about to do. Ready to start again, and work for a better future, in the ruins of what had been the great United States of America.

She brought a shaky finger to the pristine white button. She took a deep breath and pushed hard, ready to run. The observers began to take down the force field in a feeble attempt to change the unchangeable, but it was too late. She felt the building shake as she raced towards the only door that was still operable. Pulling at the cold silver handle, she felt the door swing open and raced outside.

Sienna heard the deafening noise of the helicopters the Insurgance had stolen and grabbed the rope ladder that was thrown down. As the bright light grew bigger and the whirring of the blades got louder, she felt a few tears cascade down her cheeks. Climbing up the ladder as fast as she could, Sienna watched the building where all the tests, all the secret information the Council of Observers stored, and most importantly, where her parents were probably trapped, burst into flames.

She let out a sob as she was pulled into the helicopter and collapsed on the ground. Nothing would ever be the same.

OMG, you guys. If you're reading this, THANK YOU! This idea popped into my head late at night and I decided to write it. I know it might not make sense right now, but trust me, it will all come together ;).
