Whoa, 23 reads? What?? Honestly, that doesn't seem like a lot but I didn't really expect anyone to read this so... Anyway, THANK YOU, GUYS! Updates might change to once every 2-3 days because school starts in 3 days and I'm going to be really busy. Thanks for understanding and enjoy the chapter!!

She had to go tonight because there is only one other person who knew about the treehouse, and therefore only one person who could have written the letter.

Her sister was alive.

Sienna was jolted out of her thoughts as she heard her parents voices downstairs. She ran to her wardrobe and hid the letter in between the dresses and quickly shut the wardrobe door. She got out some of her school books and papers, ran to her desk, and pretended to study the Great War.

The war between the East and the West of the United States was the worst in history, and the death toll was almost 2.5 million. Radiation from all of the bombs killed about 2 million of those people. The survivors, after the war was over, built her city, almost 300 square miles, with a ginormous bubble around it, to protect it from radiation. They invented the tests 10 years after the city was built, to determine who would be the best fit to rebuild the human race, and who would be the best fit to do the jobs that no one wanted. Now, at every young man or woman's 17th birthday, they take the test to decide what their role in society will be.

Sienna's hand shook as she wrote down notes from her textbook, not really paying attention to the words because her heart beat was too loud to focus on anything else. There was a sharp knock at her door.

"Miss Sienna, your parents request your presence down in the foyer," Her butler, Peter, said. She stood up and got out of her chair slowly and opened her door. She glanced at the mirror and saw her hair was messy from running her fingers through it.

"Tell them I'll be down in 5 minutes!" She said as she grabbed her hairbrush. Her hair was a pale blond, with soft curls cascading down her back, stopping at the bottom of her shoulder blades. She was named after her eyes, which were a very usual shade of reddish-brown, where as most Exceptionals had light green or blue eyes. She ran the brush through her here a few times in order to look presentable and then set it down on her vanity.

As she turned the white doorknob, she took a deep breath. She didn't really like talking to her parents because they were very conceited and often compared her to their friend's children. Gliding down the grand marble staircase, she put on the fake smile she had always worn around her mother and father.

"Hello, dear," Her mother said as she embraced Sienna. Sienna awkwardly hugged back and went over to hug her father. "How was your day at school?"

"Very wonderful, Mother." She said, lying through her teeth. She disliked school because it was boring and her friends were very self-centered and oblivious.

"That's great, Sienna. Now, we wanted to talk to you about the upcoming dinner with the Council." Her father began. Sienna rolled her eyes. " Now, Sienna. It's very important you act correctly because some very eligible men will be there. Sage Caulender, Coal Evers, and most importantly, Indigo Matthews."

Indigo Matthews was the son of one of the wealthiest families of all the Exceptionals. He was smart, handsome, and rich, Sienna's parents' ideal son-in-law. Her parents were hoping to marry her off to him, or one of the other wealthy boys. Sienna thought it was funny how they just assumed she would be an Exceptional, even though she hadn't taken her test yet.

"Of course, Father," Sienna said in a sarcastic voice, but luckily, neither of her parents noticed. She hated these Council dinners. She always had to put on her fake personality and her fake smile. She had to wear extremely uncomfortable dresses, a pound of makeup, and a bucket of hairspray.

"You have your dress fitting tomorrow after school, and then the dinner is Friday." Her mother said excitedly, and Sienna resisted the urge to groan. "That is all, Sienna. We have a dinner tonight at the Ever's, so you will be on your own. You may go finish your homework, dear."

"Come say goodbye before we leave, sweetheart." Her Father called after her.

"Yes Father," Sienna muttered. She back up the stairs to finish her homework. Tonight, after her parents left, she would go to the treehouse. She decided to tell her servants and butlers that she would be going to bed early so they wouldn't disturb her.

-------Time Skip--------

"Goodbye, Mother! Goodbye Father!" Sienna yelled to her parents as they got into the white limo. She had already had Peter inform her servants she would be going to bed early, so she wasn't worried about that. She grabbed her cloak and the letter from her wardrobe and slipped out the servants door. Clutching the letter to her chest, she gingerly opened the door and stepped out into the crisp night air.

She was ready to see her sister again.

Whoo! Another chapter finished. This was just kind of a filler chapter, but I think it was pretty good. Next chapter has lots of drama and action, so be ready. Thanks again for reading!
