Horizon Zero Dawn

Chapter 2

There were 3 more bandits left, I shot one in the torso. One in the head and the last bandit in the leg then finishing him off with my spear. I headed to the suspect and took the spear, I took a look at the body and left him there so he would think the bandits took his spear because he never saw me.

I ran back to Mothers Hearth to find the man sitting on a chair. I went up to him and handed him the spear. He turned around and his eyes went wide with excitement and thanked me gratefully. He gave me my 300 shards and said,"You know I have a workshop in Mothers Watch and if you want I can sell you a bow for free, but you don'tknow how much this means to me. It was my mothers and its the only memory I have of her," he said sadly.
"I'm glad I could help."
"I don't know your name."
"Oh I'm Peter."
"I'm Luke."

So I left Mothers Hearth with my shards. I was so proud of myself but at the same time it did not feel right.
On the path home I took a turn left into the forest to get some turkeys for dinner. I was looking for some turkeys when I heard a few men talking. I crouched and headed toward the voices, there were 5 men wearing  black and white masks. They were holding a few dozen turkeys in their hands. They were lifeless but still breathing. Next to the men there was a bowl of seeds and a bowl of green ooz...like poison. I listened into there conversation and I heard this," Looks like alot of the Nora go hunting in this forest. If they find the turkeys they will eat the turkeys and get sick and die, then we press the attack." I knocked an arrow to my bow and aimed at one of their heads. Then I saw them pull out their weapons, one had a big metal piece with a whole at the bottom. It looked like he was putting a few round things in it. I saw a strange device on the mans ear, triangular shaped. I was trying to figure out who they were when they broke up and went two sepreate ways, I followed the man with the strange device.

I followed them for a while when they stopped and dropped the turkeys. Now was my time to strike. I pulled my arrow back aimed at the mans head and let go. The arrow landed in his head and at that moment I knocked another arrow to my bow and shot the athor in the head. I quickly ran over to their bodys and pulled their masks off. They both wore black armour, I picked up the device and examined it. It had was gray and had blue otline on it. I put to my ear where the man put it and a blue aura appeared around me, I jumped back and took the device off. What is this thing and who are these men. I put the device back and the same thing happened, this time it was like scanning the bodies. A face appeared with a whole lot of writing underneath it.

It said his name: Tarmoe Shadoek
Place of birth: Meridian (Dont know where that is)
And a whole lot of other stuff I did not read. But something caught my  eye, Core Mission: Project Poisen
That must be poisening turkeys and making the Nora (My People) eat them. Someone is trying to wipe us out, but why. So with curiosity I tapped the Mission part, it showed a verification code and then a slot underneath it. I tapped it and then it showed ten numbers.

I took the device off and ran home, I had to tell my mother about this. But wait, what about the turkeys. The turkeys were already dead and I did not want my people to find them. I just hid them in a burrow that looked very abandoned.

When I reached home I started shouting for my mother. When she came out I shouted," There are men in the woods that are poisening the turkeys so we eat them and die."
"What," My mother replied. "Have you been eating hallu berrys again."
"Men in black armour and masks!" I said.
"Ok, ok, just come inside and tell me all about it...ok."
