The moment I opened my eyes all I saw was bright light. I squinted, trying to make sense of the blurred shapes.
"Willowriel." A voice whispered my name.
The blurred shapes turned sharp and the person next to my bed was-
"Willowriel, it's me, Legolas. You're safe now." Legolas smiled in relief as I looked at him.
"What has become of Sauron?" I asked.
"He has been defeated. At last." He took my hand, clasping it in his.
It took a moment for me to comprehend the information. Then I started to grin uncontrollably. Sauron was defeated. Sauron was finally vanquished.
"So what now?" Legolas asked.
"What do you mean?" My smile faded.
"What's happening now? We never planned what would happen if we survived this journey."
I didn't respond, looking away as I fidgeted with my blanket.
"What's happening with... us?" Legolas questioned.
"I... don't know. I guess I thought I would just go back to Lorien." I shrugged.
"So we'd just leave this? We'd leave this bond between us and just forget about each other?" The hurt was apparent in his eyes.
"No!" I sighed. "I mean what else could we do?"
He grinned, slowly taking out a small glittering object.
"Oh my goodness." I couldn't believe what he was implying.
I got out of bed, grinning as I covered my mouth in shock. "Oh my goodness." I repeated over and over again.
Legolas walked over to me. "I think you know what I'm suggesting." He whispered, smiling.
I nodded, holding out my hand for him to slip the ring on as our foreheads rested against each other's. I smiled into the kiss, a bubble of happiness growing inside of me, impossible to pop.

I wore a off-the-shoulder white dress, an intricate gold pattern etched on my torso with ribbon fashionably tied around my waist. White sheer fabric hung from my shoulders, reaching the floor.
I watched as Aragorn's crown was placed upon his head. "Now come the days of the King. May they be blessed. This day does not belong to one man, but to all. Let us together rebuild this world, that we may share in the days of peace."
Aragorn then started to sing, a song so soothing and peaceful it was hard to remember that the very same voice yelled war cries not too long ago. He started to walk among the people, walking past Faramir, Eowyn and Eomer.
I followed Legolas as the elves approached him, my hand gently resting on the crook of his elbow.
"Hannon le." He murmured to us, the gratefulness shining through his eyes. Amin wish lle eina alye'."
We smiled, bowing low to him as he continued to walk.

"My child." I heard Galadriel's voice in front of me as I sat in my room. "It is time."
I looked up, seeing the sadness in her eyes. "Do we have to go?" I asked, looking around my bare room.
"Yes. The Age of the Elves is over. The Age of Men has begun." She smiled, moving through my doorway.
I sighed, looking up as she embraced me. "I can't believe we're leaving."
Galadriel didn't say anything as she rested her head on mine.

I held Legolas' hand tightly as we boarded the boat.
"Are you nervous?" I whispered.
"Yes." He murmured back. "We'll be fine though. We'll be going to a new place."
"We'll be leaving our memories here though." I looked back as the ship started to sail away from the docks. "And our friends with them."
Legolas smiled reassuringly as he wrapped an arm around my shoulders, kissing my forehead as we looked out onto the setting sun. Never to return to Middle Earth ever again.
