You couldn't believe it. After all your dedicated years of working for the Keron military, and lending your tech skills to anyone who required them, you were being asked to build and program a new type of ship. In all honesty, having the chance to build a ship such as this is a one in a lifetime opportunity. The only problem was who you were building it with.

Your eye twitched and the pencil in your hand snapped in half as the smell of curry invaded your workspace again. He always ate curry. He never stops eating curry. He also never stops laughing like a complete maniac and his sadistic tendencies were enough to make anyone run away in fear.

Sergeant Major Kululu...why him!?

*****

"Kukuku. Your designs are so primitive. How did you ever get so far in the army?" he taunted, making you frown. "Fix them so they have more defense while also not slowing the ship down."

"Why don't you do your own designs and I'll focus on my own!"

Kululu laughed.

*****

After the design had been worked out, you and Kululu began building the actual ship. The two halves had been built and quickly binded together by cheap wire so you could edit it later.

"Not bad." You hummed as Kululu nodded and walked over to the small desk in the lab.

"Ku ku. It's good enough for now." Kululu said. He began planning out their next step as you turned around to follow him. A loud cracking could be heard as the cheap wire that bound the two halves of the ship together unravelled.

The lab ground shook as one half of the ship descended towards you menacingly. You were frozen with fear until someone grabbed your arm and pulled you away, with one of the cheap wires hitting your arm.

*****

"Is your arm okay?" Kululu asked as he shuffled closer to your sitting form. The cut was wrapped up in a thick bandage. It hurt but it was only a dull ache after taking a ton of pain killers for the thing.

You ran a finger along the bandages and nodded. "Yeah I'm good. It is more just physiological damage. Are you okay?"

Kululu huffed and turned away from you. "Ku. Just perfect. Not like the ship we've been working on for months just fell apart and almost crushed us."

You rolled your eyes and elbowed him in the stomach. "Shut up Sergeant Major. It's an easy fix. We still have all the parts we need and the blueprints are still valid!" you sighed and took a deep breath. "So stop complaining. I know it sucks but we'll get through this. Alright...?"

Kululu just nodded slightly.

*****

"Can you do it?" Kululu called up to you as you tightened the wires to one side of the ship. You two were gonna seal the two halves of the ship back together after making each side more stable.

"Shut up and let me concentrate!" You yell, tying the wire together. "Done!" you yelled stepping back to look at Kululu. Your foot slipped on the new siding you two had installed.

The thought of having another work injury on your record was the only fear you had as you fell down the side of the. You tensed up, waiting for the hard impact, but it never came as you landed on something softer instead.

Kululu sat on his knees, holding you in his arms as he groaned. "We can't keep doing this [Y/N]!!"

"I know, I'm sorry!!!"

*****

The ship stood proudly about you as you closed up your computer and stood up. "I'll be back tomorrow girl. We'll finish you up and get you shined up." You smiled widely, turning to walk out of the workshop. At the door you paused, turning to see the light to Kululu's private office still one with furious typing coming from the small space. Frowning you willed yourself just to leave, but your body betrayed your mind and you walked over to the office.

Peaking in, you saw Kululu among stacks of paper and blueprints for the ship. Some had rough corrections on them and others had simply been thrown into a corner. He was grumbling to himself as he crumbled up another paper and tossed it over his shoulder. "Useless designs. They'll never work [Y/N]. Nothing will ever work..."

"You shouldn't push yourself so hard." You said, crossing your arms.

"Ku...I'll leave when I'm done." he muttered causing you to shake your head and grab his shoulder. "Hey!"

"We're getting a drink. Now." You snapped as Kululu gulped and nodded.

*****

"We finished..." You said as your eyes scanned the beautiful battleship you and Kululu had built.

"Ku ku. It's loaded with a bunch of new weapon systems that will blow our enemies away." Kululu said, typing away on his laptop.

You nodded, running your fingers along the scar on your arm. "I...I really enjoyed working with you Sergeant Major."

Kururu hummed and paused his typing. "...so did I Intellect Officer [Y/N]...I can promise you this will not be the last time we talk. Ku ku."

Something in his tone made your jaw drop. He sounded so genuine that you couldn't help but smile. "Get over here and let's take a picture."

*****

You sniffed and furiously wiped your eyes, trying your hardest not to cry as the multiple blueprints and ideas you two had created were laid out in front of you. There was only one picture in the mix that you had bothered to grab. A photo of a genuine Kululu smile as he hugged you in front of your first project together. Sighing, you closed your eyes and rubbed your forehead, before turning and looking out the window to where a green and blue planet could be seen. Soon.

(This one shot was an odd one. I started from the end and wrote to the beginning which is something I tend to do often. Hope you all like this one and I'll have another one up for you next week and maybe a smaller one in between.
If people want I may make a second part to this. Just depends.)
