Marinettes POV
(By the way, there is light in the room now)
"Uhhh.... It- It's a b-birthmark." Shoot!! I stuttered!!
"I know that purrincess," Chat began. He walked over to his desk and pulled out a really old looking book. He blew dust if the cover, opened it, and flipped through the pages. He finally stopped at a page. Chat signalled me to come to look at the book too, and I obeyed. There wasn't much I could do. Besides, I was scared outta my wits what he was gonna do to me.
Chat pointed to the page."But this says that it is more than just a 'birthmark'."
I looked at the page...
And my insides melted into a puddle.
There, was a picture of my birthmark. The page was titled "The Ladybug Miraculous Holder."
NO ONE IS SUPPOSED TO KNOW!!!! IF THEY DID THEY'D USE ME FORCE ME TO USE MY POWERS FOR BAD THINGS AND THEIR OWN SELF ADVANTAGES!!!! NOT EVEN MY PARENTS KNOW...!!
But he knows. The most notorious pirate of the 7 seas knows. I am so dead....
"How about you read it out loud, Purrincess?"
Boy, do I wanna smack this cat. But I can't right now because I an petrified with shock and fear.
"Come on, Mari. I know you can read."
Wait did he just...? Ah, nevermind. I can't stand his comments (or puns) any longer. So, I start to read it out loud.
"'The Ladybug miraculous holder is the life force of creation and luck itself. Some say say she was blessed with this power.
No one knows who she is, or who she will be. All we know is that she will have a birthmark of the ladybug, one of the two most powerful Miraculous Marks. To those who don't know what that is, the Miraculous Marks are the birthmarks given to humans who were chosen to protect the world.(No one knows who or what gives these marks).
There are seven Miraculous Marks. The fox, the bee, the peacock, the butterfly, the turtle, the ladybug, and the black cat. The two most powerful ones are the black cat and the ladybug.
Anyways, the ladybug miraculous is obviously lucky. She can create anything to help those in need, including herself. This means her powers can be taken advantage of, but that'd only be possible if another miraculous were to turn on her.'"
Now that I had stopped reading, there was a painful silence between me and Chat. How did this book even exist? Who was the author? Why was Chat smirking at me... seductively? Wait what...
"I guess that means your mine now, Purrincess."
