Chapter 14

Chat Noir's POV

I really hate going to Master Fu's. But some things you just gotta do when Ladybug's power is at stake... (not to mention how adorable she is).

There are a few obstacles we need to go through to get to Master Fu's. The Siren's Haven is one of them. Oh how I despise sirens....

Now we're inside the above sea canyon, me commanding Nino to steer carefully away from the jagged wall's edges.

It's like a ship graveyard in here! I look all around me and I see ships from every age in here! Hopefully we won't be joining them any time soon.....

I start to hear beautiful, haunting voices start to echo eerily through the walls. But then it starts to get louder and louder until...

All I can remember is seeing brilliant, glowing yellow eyes before my mind went blank.

Marinette's POV

As we sail ever so carefully through the canyon, I start to hear soft, eerie singing voices bounce off the walls. It only makes it creepier....

I look over to Chat who was mumbling,"Yes, yes puuuuuurrrrincess....... I love-"

But he was cut of by a box sliding into him. I winced. Ouch...

Then I realized something...
No one was steering the wheel!!

The ship was moving much faster now. I could sense the current of the water speed up massively....

The sirens had found us. They were on the ship singing to the boys. And I have to admit, did they look beautiful.

But I saw their true beauty.

They had evil aquamarine colored tails. They had the same color fins on their arms, neck, and back. They had big, glowing snake-like yellow eyes. Their hair (right now) was an indigo color, meaning they were hungry and mischievous. If you didn't know, sirens' hair color depends in their mood.

While all the boys were hypnotized, I was running for my life to the wheel. I have no sailing training whatsoever, so this might end well....

But before I could reach the wheel, I was scratched on my cheek. I look to see a siren. I forgot about how they hate other women....

This one was weird looking. It had an orange tail and long.... ears? It's hair was a bright orange, meaning it was feeling hatred.

Then it turned around jumped back in the water. I ran to the edge to check if it was gone. I knew it was stupid, but I felt very shocked and scared.

It was gone. "Phew," I said to myself.

Then I turn back around to see her singing to Chat. I immediately felt something unrecognizable in my chest, but I shook it off.

"Maybe if I get rid of that siren he'll snap out if it and he can steer the ship," I thought.

The ship was being ripped apart at the sides as it was roughly steered by the current, so I pursued my idea.

Even though I have no idea how to get rid of a siren, but oh well.

Suddenly, the ship rocked backwards with a great amount of force, and I slid right into the siren.

I smash into the siren, who was starting to kiss Chat, and she bursts into little water droplets. But the problem is....

I took her place and found myself kissing Chat instead. Part of me is squealing, but I ignore it and push him off.

I got rid off the siren, but he still didn't snap out if it. So I take matters into my own hands.

I run up to the wheel and start to steer. The current is tremendously rough, making it hard to control.

All of a sudden, a weight is lifted of my shoulders when I see an opening. I turn the wheel towards it. Problem is, I see the sirens on the ship start to come at me.

But just as they go to attack, the ship burst out of the ship graveyard, and the sirens evaporate. Did I mention they can't leave their home?

Now as the ship is floating peacefully on the calm sea again, I see the crew start to snap out of it. Finally...

I find myself looking at Chat, who has absolute no idea what just happened. Oh boy if he knew I had just kissed him...
I'd never hear the end of it.

Though I can't help but think back to those few seconds. His lips were so soft...

AHH!!! STOP THINKING ABOUT HIM ALREADY!! IT WAS AN ACCIDENT!!!

I shake my head to get rid of that thought.

"What just happened?" Nino questioned.

"You all were under the control of the sirens," I acknowledged.

"I guess Chat saved us again from another danger," Nino said knowingly.

"No you dummy! Marinette did," Plagg said.

The whole crew started murmuring about me.

Chat walked up to me and smirked. "I hope my purrincess didn't get to jealous."

"Not at all."

He pouted playfully. "As come on Princess! You have to fall for my charms one day."

"In your dreams, Kitty," I said teasingly.

I'm still holding the wheel, looking at it proudly. I still can't believe what I just did.

"What happened back there?"

"Nothing besides me having to take over the wheel for you and Nino," I partially lied.

"By the looks of that scratch on your cheek I think it was more than that," he said, concerned.

"Oh this?" I pointed at the scratch. "It's nothing to worry about."

"Uh, yes it is. I can tell that a siren scratched you!"

"And...?"

He grabbed my hand and we ran into his quarters. I sat there, dumbfounded.

He pulled out a small bottle from a cabinet. He handed out to me.
"Here, drink this."

"Why?"

"Remember when I said you must do everything I say?"

I then recalled how he said "the consequences", so I took the bottle and drank it. I didn't feel any different.

Then there was a pink flash. I closed my eyes. When I opened them, Chat said, "Look in the mirror."

I walked over to the mirror, and to my shock, the scratch was gone.

"What was that?"

"A potion."

I was about to say something when he said, "Don't ask where I got it from."

We stayed silent until I couldn't stand it anymore. "Can you at least tell me where were going next?"

"We have to go through The Leviathon's Sea, and then we'll be at our destination."

I'm starting to think that our destination must be some type of heaven for what we have to go through to be so dangerous.

(AN: Can you guess who that siren was who scratched Marinette? Probably...
Most of you might think that the potion was cringy, or might be wondering what type of potion it was. I'll give you a hint: it's from Master Fu.
