"It's over... its finally over.." Zelda said as she heard a thud "Link?"
Zelda turned around and ran toward Link who was collapsed. She held him in her arms.
"Zelda.." Link coughed.
Zelda moved the hair out of his face "yes Link?"
"Play the Ocarina.. go home.."Link said handing it to her.
"No! I'm not going to leave you.."
"Zelda trust me if you play it it'll save me too..the triforce of power it's taking over me.."
"But what do I play...?"
"Anything," Link coughed.
Zelda held Link in an upright position as she thought of a song.
"My lullaby..."
Zelda played the lullaby of her childhood as Link's hand went limp and his eyes closed.
Link wasn't dead though; the notes Zelda played didn't let Link die..
Link started to regain consciousness "Am I dead?"
"No silly.. we're home..." Zelda responded.
"Home..? You mean I didn't fail my mission..?"
"No you didn't..."
The doors opened "is that my daughter??" Richard asked.
"Father?" Zelda asked.
Zelda ran to her father and hugged him.
"I missed you so much..." Zelda whispered.
Link watched the two have a moment and smiled.
"Link.. you've earned the privilege of being the hero of time..." Richard said.
"Well it pleases me that the princess is home safely... now if you excuse me I must go.." Link replied.
"Wait..." Zelda replied running toward him.
She put her hands on his face and pressed her lips against his...
"Here.." Zelda laughed pulling the handkerchief out "you've earned it.."
Link took the handkerchief and put it in his pocket.
"Thank you your highness.." Link said "now.. would you like to run through the forest with me..?"
"It would be my honor.." Zelda said.
