A helicopter? SERIOUSLY? What was wrong with her? She didn't feel anxious around Michael but that didn't stop her from saying some really stupid stuff. She felt like she could die of humiliation.

" We're at a mall."

He had such a nice voice. It made her want bury her face in his broad chest and stay there forever. Crap. He was waiting for her to get out of the car. She clumsily got out of the car.  The nights were getting colder.

The mall was pretty small. That was all she could think to describe it. Michael told her to buy whatever she wanted but that she had to make sure she got the necessities.

She started to look around. She decided to get 2 pairs of jeans and 2 pairs of black leggings. They fit her really nicely. She felt guilty for spending Michael's money but then remembered that he was getting paid a lot to take care of her. Still, she didn't need  lot of clothes. So she would only get the necessities. She bought 3 full sleeved Shirts as well as one checked shirt. She also got a couple of T-shirts from a basket that read ' $ 3". She momentarily doubted if she had taken too much. Just then she bumped into someone and almost fell on her butt.

She had to stop being so absent minded. She had bumped into a man. Crap. She felt relief for a split second when she realized it was just Michael. But than her senses started to go on overload. His hands were gripping her arms. She was in such close proximity that she could smell him. he smelled so manly. But then she got a slight hint of something else. Something smoky. It wasn't exactly pleasant.

It was hard to trace since there was so little of it but she was almost positive it was... cigarettes.

" Do you smoke?" the question popped out of her mouth without her brains permission. She felt incredibly rude asking it. Why was she always so awkward?

He almost looked defensive before he let go of her arms and answered,

" Yes."

And then he spoke again,

" You need to buy more clothes. And buy at least 4 pairs of shoes."

She felt bad for asking him that question.

She went back to buying clothes. This time she put things in her trolley generously. She also bought a toothbrush, a hair brush and some chap stick. She felt silly buying the cherry chap stick but she bought it anyway. Dry lips were not an option.

She went to the counter where she found Michael waiting. His face gave nothing away. He took her trolley. She waited beside him while the cash register lady packed their things and glanced at Michael every few seconds. She was starting to annoy Mae.

They went back to the car. He had bought a bag pack started put all her things inside it. Accept the shoes. They stayed together in a separate bag. He started driving again.

She had to apologize for asking that stupid question.

" I'm sorry for asking if you smoked. It's none of my business."

He barely nodded in reply.

A song started playing on the radio. The sweet melody of the music started to fill the car.

" Are you cold?" he asked after a little while.

" No."

" Cause you were shivering."

" I'm fine."

He went back to driving. She knew why she was shivering. Thank the lord that he didn't. She didn't know how he would react to her fantasizing about him.

His deep deep voice had some side affects. She had to clench her thighs together to deal with the new sensations.

She didn't want to acknowledge how she was starting to feel about Michael after only 4  hours. She would worry about that later.

She slowly started to doze off.
