Michael had snapped. And she wasn't sure how to fix it. All she could think to do was give him some space. She hadn't meant to make him angry.

It's just that he was so... attentive. Not even her family and friends had managed to make her feel this special. For the first time in a long time, she felt like she was important to someone. Which had made her vomit words like a crazy person. She cringed internally thinking about how many hours of blubbering she had put him through.

She looked up to find that he was just staring at her. Michael didn't look away guiltily like any other person would after being caught staring. Instead their eyes locked. And Mae felt her heart constrict suddenly. She stared at his broad nose and noticed how his upper lip was was a perfect bow shape. Her palms began to sweat, not from nervousness but from sheer excitement.

She didn't know what this feeling was, but she knew it made her suddenly want to lean against him, breath in his scent and hear the deep vibrations of his voice.

By god, she was going mad.
