CHAPTER SIX:
Jasmine's P.O.V....
I awoke to the bushes rustling behind me; I knew it wasn't the wind because there wasn't any. I tried to keep absolutely still with even breaths as if I was still sleeping. The rustling stopped as I heard whoever it was step out of the bushes. The- well whatever it was, came closer and closer until the- I'm just going to call whoever it was IT, were standing right behind me. I opened my eyes slightly but couldn't see anything except his shadow towering over me. IT was obviously tall and either had muscles or was really fat on only their top half. From the shadow IT looked kind of deformed.
"Jasmine." IT said in a strangled and strained voice that sounded strangely familiar. I was SO curious, and I might as well see what was probably about to kill me. I took a deep breath then shot my head around but before I could see IT, it was suddenly gone! In a way I was relieved about not having to face IT, but there was another part of me that couldn't help wondering if IT was going to appear again and what it would do. I turned in a slow circle, looking for IT or anything strange and out of place.
It was quiet; too quiet.....
Calm down, I'm not a freak I was just kidding. I've always wanted to say that but I never really had the chance. It was quiet but seeing as I'm in the middle of a forest with no-one else here anymore (hopefully) it wasn't surprising it was quiet.
I heard a growl to my left behind me, I spun around and fell backwards just as IT past over my head. IT looked horrid but I couldn't take my eyes off IT as it jumped around gracefully, it was DEFINATLY deformed but it looked natural as if it was just part of nature. Then as I looked into it's eyes I realised what and who IT was, it was Kevin in his half-wolf form, he was completely unrecognisable apart from his unforgettable glistening dark blue eyes that never left me as he twisted and turned moving so his eyes were always on me and my every movement.
I crept slowly backwards, all my senses were screaming at me to run but I know he would run after me and he is much faster in that form. I wasn't sure how I was going to get away without him stopping me but I have to try anyway. His head suddenly swung round to his right, startling me, making me freeze on the spot. His eyes were wildly swinging around as if he was trying to find something in the tree tops, I started to get confused, was someone there? Is it a demon?
So quickly that I almost missed it, someone came flying out of the tree and straight into Kevin. While they were fighting I decided this was a great time to sneak off so that exactly what I did, as soon as I was into the forest I swung round and bolted forward as fast as I could not caring where it would take me as long as it was away from them. I could still hear them behind me so I pushed my leg to go faster and faster.
I stopped, the sound of the fighting was long behind me but I had kept running, not wanting to take any chances of being found again. I kept walking in case somehow they found a way they could catch up. After a while I started stumbling and tripping, too exhausted to keep going any longer. Luckily I came across a small hut that looked as if it had been abandoned years ago, whoever lived here last probably died or something ages ago. I tried the door knob and it was thankfully open. The inside of the house made me falter, unlike the outside it was clean and well looked after, someone must live here after all. The thing about the inside of the house that was REALLY strange however is the contents, the kind of contents that only one thing would own; a witch!
There were all kinds of strange symbols everywhere, some I understood from books that my great-great-great grandmother passed down to me, she was said to be a witch and the books kind of proved it. I stepped further into the house and saw everything looked clean and new, untouched even! It was nothing like the outside appearance that made the place look as if it was falling apart.
'I should get out of here before whoever lives here gets back.' I thought to myself as I turned towards the door. Suddenly the whole house went dark as a shadow appeared in the doorway. It was a old woman covered with warts and moles, her greasy grey hair stuck up in strange positions. She was dresses like a gypsy with a long skirt and cheap jewellery, not forgetting the heavy make-up. At first she seemed confused by my presence then she nodded as if it all made sense, she smiled at me showing her brown teeth, well the ones that were left anyway which wasn't many.
"I'm so sorry. I thought this house was abandoned, I was just about to leave." I told her hoping she wasn't crazy like my family thought my great-great-great grandmother was, but then again with ghosts and werewolves who was I to say that witches don't exist.
"That's alright sweetie. You can stay for the night if you wish." she smiled kindly at me. Normally I would have objected and carried on walking but I was too tired to care so I decided I would stay just for tonight.
"Thank you."
"That's okay sweetie." She said as we both sat at a table with tea already set out and warm, I could have sworn that wasn't there a second ago; strange...
Kevin's P.O.V....
I just finished with the rouge vampire when I noticed Jasmine was missing again. 'I swear when I find that girl I'll chain her to me so she can never get away from me again' I thought to myself, my protective senses of a werewolf controlling my thoughts.
Normally I would be able to track her scent but vampire blood was splattered everywhere covering her scent. I starting pacing while worrying about Jasmine and how I was going to find her this time. After a while I realized I couldn't think of anything so I decided to go back to Jessi and James and see if they could think of anything.
