Andrea closed her laptop and putted it on table beside her bed. She had looked through each profile and could only recognize some of them....about others she had no clue.
It was about school time now. She had been searching through the records for 6 hours with 3 naps break,4 food breaks and surfing on the web.
She couldnot figure out who the girl on the bridge was. The only other way of finding it out was to enter the I.d. card number into the school computer and matching the data. The computer that is in Brenston's high school office.
The office which is declared
.No student zone.
And the only way to get in there was to break in. I can't do that. Andrea thought. After some time:
Exactly at 98 minutes after thinking she couldnot do it. She found herself on the forbidden side of the office's door.
No office attorney had yet reached the school so it was empty and dark. Andrea moved forward carefully in the blackness. She couldn't turn on the other light because the window of the office's second opened into headmistress's office. And nothing is more worse than facing her at 6:00 in the morning.
To reason with her is to ask McDonald's for Mcfluffy, the machine is going to be broken.
And in her thinking being forced to work at old people's home for public service for a month teaches the students humbleness. The only thing it teaches you is to shout for hours straight. Andrea would know.
Dodging under the window, Andrea skillfully made for the computer. She turned around a bookshelf to see the computer's light was on and someone was sitting on the chair before it, both feet on the table. Her heart raced even harder than before, her palms started sweating. Holding back a gasp she turned around and readied herself to break the fuck out the door.
But her foot got caught on a cord. Not just got caught but the cord twisted around her ankle, her second foot slipped on something, her hand that was holding onto the book shelf pulled out some files and with them she made her way onto the floor.
And with all the delicacy and a loud thud. The person sitting in front of the computer got up made their way towards the noise.
Andrea felt someone standing behind her.
Slowly and carefully, she turned around to see the person she despised most, not the headmistress, Emerald.
"What the hell are you doing here?" She asked Emerald.
"You tell me, and while you are here can you try to be a little quieter." Emerald replied at a sound level that can't be considered quietly.
"Take your own advice, will ya?" Andrea said standing up.
"Well I didn't fall on a floor with a bang and taking half the book shelf with me." Emerald replied.
"I wouldn't have fallen if there was not this banana peel lying here." Andrea said looking down, "wait, why is there a banana peel lying here."
Emerald ducked her head. And Andrea looked at her in bewilderment.
"Don't tell me you....." Andrea let out a sigh and taking a deep breath asked, " what were you doing on the computer? "
"Just checking my annual record." Emerald replied like it was fully okay to break into the school's administrative office and use their computer to check her student record.
"Just checking, huh?" Andrea said.
"Yup, giving myself a few thumbs up." Emerald said.
"You know that is a highly confidential data and not a Facebook page." Andrea countered.
"Highly confidential, pfft" emerald said, " I knew beforehand that I was failing that's why I'm here in the first place." After saying that she stopped abruptly as if she realized she had said too much.
"You were changing yo........" Andrea started to say the obvious but was cut off by Emerald.
"Yup, let's never talk off this again." Emerald said, " see ya later." She turned to walk out the door but abruptly stopped again. And turned back around.
"Wait....what are you doing here?"
"Changing my grades" Andrea replied with sarcasm.
"Uh ah, I knew it." Emerald said, " tsk tsk, I'm really ashamed with you. You should focus on your studies and get good grades with hardwork.
A nerve on Andrea's forehead twitched. The nerve of this girl.
"Shut up, I was just here to do some research." Andrea said rolling her eyes.
"That's what they all say." Emerald replied.
"How many of you are there." Andrea countered.
"Now no, that's confidential." Emerald replied..
Feeling its useless to talk to her, Andrea crossed her to get to the computer. Reading the screen she looked to emerald's face and then turned back around and shook her head.
"At least make it a little believable." Andrea said.
"Believe my face." Emerald replied.
"Hard to..." Andrea countered.
She putted the I.d cards no. Into the school data and pressed search.
"What are you doing?" Emerald asked.
"Research." Andrea replied, " go stand guard."
Emerald huffed but did as told.
The result came up soon. Andrea scanned the picture on the screen. She recognized the face instantly, her mind back lashing to that night.
Her name send chills down her spine.
She quickly noted down the address given, on a notebook she took out from her bag. At the same time emerald came behind her."That's ....." She started looking at the picture on screen. She couldn't recognize her on the bridge but now......
"Yeah, the dead but not so dead girl."
"Yeah." Emerald said absentmindedly.
"I'm getting out of here." Andrea said turning everything off. She walked away and after a while. Oomph.
"Emerald get the damn banana peel off the floor." She yelled ignoring the fact she could have been caught and would have to suffer the punishment of suffering the punishment with emerald.
"What the hell is even wrong with her, how can .........." She muttered under her breath.
Emerald felt the door shut behind her. She stayed there for a few seconds but finally got out too....
