Jon POV
She was lying battered and bruised motionless on my bed. Her hair spread around her, no longer covered in blood. I never left her side, not again. The Maester said she will be alright, she just needs to take it easy and rest. It's been 2 days since the battle and she hasn't woken since.
Zerrin and Arian where restless, obviously wondering where she was. They probably miss her...
I placed my hand on hers, giving it a light squeeze and I got one in return. I looked up at her face, stunned as this was the first time she has moved. I watched her as she scrunched her eyes together before slowly opening them revealing her beautiful crystal white eyes. She blinked a few times before turning her head to face me.
"How you feeling?" I whispered
She smiled but winced as if the gesture hurt her, "been better." She whispered back
"Your going to be okay Naella. You just need to take it easy for a couple days so you can heal." I said this with a soft yet stern voice.
She just nodded causing me to sigh. She is in to much pain to even talk. I looked down guilt ridden. I should never have let her fight.
"Stop it."
I looked up confused, "stop what?"
She smiled slightly, "Stop blaming yourself for this."
It's as if she could read my thoughts, "I'm sorry I couldn't protect you."
She just squeezed my hand. It was so hard not to pull her into me but her pain stopped me for doing it. She tried to sit up but winced as she did. Pushing her back down I gently fed her the milk of the poppy to try help her pain which she gratefully accepted. Before long her pain subsides causing her to fall back asleep leaving me in silence again.
Naella POV
I woke up to the sound of my dragons crying. I was alone, I guess Jon had to go do some things... I slowly stood up, wincing in pain when the wound on my back stretched. I grabbed the coat on the chair next to my bed and slowly made my way to the sound of my dragons. I had no idea where I was going, I've never been here before so why would I buy the sound helped me find them. They sat curled around the Willow tree surrounded by snow making their black scales stand out more.
"Hello my overgrown lizards.." I whispered lovingly.
They lifted their big heads to greet me as I walked over to touch them. They have grown so much in just a month. The moment was ruined by someone behind me.
I turned around slowly and was greeted by a surprising face.
"Lady Sansa..."
"Naella..." she spoke quietly as if afraid that if my dragons would attack her at any minute.
She opened her mouth like she wanted to say something but stopped herself. I knew what she wanted to ask.
"They won't bite..."
She simply nods and moves closer to me. We stood their in silence looking at Zerrin and Arian before she finally opened her mouth.
"Thank you." She whispered
"For what?"
"For saving Jon, for fighting for us, for everything." As she said this she never pulled her far away from Zerrin.
"I didn't do it for you."
"I know but still thank you."
I looked towards her slightly startled but I regained my composure and simply nodded towards the Lady. She finally pulled her away and looked at me. She smiled slightly before looking back towards Zerrin. I watched as she slowly raised her hand trying to touch his snout. I smiled to myself knowing what's going to happen. She was just inches away from touching him when he huffed slightly, not to loud but loud enough to scare her. She jumped back a few feet, fear plastered on her face before it was replaced with embarrassment. I giggled at her embarrassment before placing my hand on Zerrins face.
"He won't let you touch him without earning his respect."
She just hugged and walked off with a face as red as her hair. I watched her disappear into the castle before turning around but was slightly startled.
"Jon?"
He stepped out from behind the Willow tree, "that was interesting." He smirked
"How long have you been standing there?" Slightly tilting my head showing my confusion.
"For a while, they where the closest thing I had to you being awake."
I smiled at his words before slowly walking towards him. He opened his arms and waited for me to hide in them. He hugged me tightly but not to tight that it would hurt. We stayed like that for a moment enjoying each other's company without a word being said, but like all good things it came to an end. A man came and interrupted our moment.
"My king you are being summoned."
Jon just nodded and the man walked away.
"King?" I looked up.
Most would look happy but he looked troubled," yeah they made me king of the North."
"That's great Jon!" I smiled which made him smile for a few seconds before he goes back to his serious face.
"When did this happen?"
"The day we won back Winterfel."
I smile, "I missed the good stuff."
He looked at me, hurt.
"Jon what's the matter?"
"You looked terrible."
"Oh well thank you that's what every girl wants to here." I chuckle.
"Naella I'm serious!" My smile quickly disappeared, "if I hadn't got to you when I did you would have died!"
I stayed silent. "Why didn't you call Zerrin and Arian earlier?! Why didn't you fight harder?!"
That made me angry, "You think I wanted to get caught?!" I pushed my self away from Jon. "Do you think I wanted to be tortured like that?! I taught as hard as I could! I tried to call Zerrin and Arian but I couldn't! I never got the time to! You would be surprised how when people torture you they don't give you time to rest!"
This time he stayed silent.
"How could you say I didn't fight hard enough! I put my life in danger for you! I promised to help you! My dragons fight for you!"
I never felt more betrayed, I wanted to carry on but I noticed Zerrin and Arian where getting worked up. I stopped my screaming and just looked down. Silence filled the air. I was waiting for him to say something but nota work came out of him.
"I'm leaving." I turned on my heal and waddled back to my room.
Again I waited but nothing. When I got to my room Lady Sansa was standing there waiting for me. She greeted then handed me a piece of paper before nodding and walking off again. I walked into my room and closed the door behind me before opening the note.
I was shocked to the core.
"Dani, she's... she is alive. "
I stood frozen for a few seconds before making up my mind. I packed all my things, which wasn't much before leaving the room. I walked out the front gate and whistled. Zerrin landed and lowered his head for me, climbing up slowly he raised his head making it a little easier for me. As soon as I got comfortable I wrapped my coat around me and whistled again taking off with Arian close behind me. I made one mistake though. I looked back.
I saw Jon standing where I was just moments ago, I could hear him calling my name but it's to late. I felt my heart break but I moved forward, I didn't stop. Rhaegars little sister is alive, the only thing left of him is alive. I smiled at that.
