**•**Kurt's POV**•**
The autumn air was crisp and sharp against Kurt's cheeks as he walked down the city street hand in hand with Blaine. His head was full of Katy Perry's, Teenage Dream. The song had become a favorite of his ever since meeting Blaine, junior year. Once the song was in his head he couldn't get it out; like stuffing the cookie jar too full and then trying to grab the cookie at the very bottom. However, NYADA campus was coming into view and he had to think about acting and dance for the next five hours. At the entrance he said farewell to his fiancé and headed upstairs.

After his third class, Improvisational Studies, his phone went off. Quickly Kurt ducked into an empty classroom to answer it. It was from the Broadway offices.
"Hello, this is Kurt Hummel." he said nervously.
"Hello, Mr. Hummel, this is Richard Da-"
"Yes, hello, Mr. Dawes." Kurt cut in. Richard Dawes was the cast coordinator.
"I'm calling regarding your audition for the Broadway production of Wicked." was the response.
Kurt practiced some breathing exercises to calm himself down. Here it is; I've made it! He thought; the breathing exercises obviously not working judging by his racing heart and flushed face.
"And I am pleased to tell you that you-"
"MADE IT IN!" Kurt butt in again.
There was a pause before Mr. Dawes said,"Yes, you did. I'm glad you're glad!"
"Oh thank you, thank you!" Kurt exclaimed. He needed to find Blaine right now.
"Oh and, Mr. Hummel..."
Kurt waited.
"We have decided...umm...ahem!" Mr. Dawes cleared his throat on the other end.
Kurt held his breath, waiting for the best or even the worst.
"- to put you in as Boq."
Kurt frowned even though this was great news. "Boq? But... but I auditioned for Ensemble. Boq is one of the sub-main characters. I don't know... I don't think I could do it, Mr. Dawes."
"Mr. Hummel, we have thought this over and think you would do well as Boq. Please don't change your mind for we have already put you in the official cast list."
Kurt almost jumped with joy. "Oh thank you Mr. Dawes! I will not fail you."
"Okay. I will see you on October 2 for our first rehearsal."
"Okay, thanks!" Kurt said again. Thanks was all he could think of to say.
When they hung up, Kurt sprinted out of the classroom towards Blaine's next class, but slowed when he remembered that the sophomores were on a field trip that day to one of the New York City playhouses. So Kurt instead took a left down the hallway to Music Theory.

That afternoon Kurt came home to see Blaine already there. He was busy making something in the kitchen. It smelled sweet and it drew at Kurt's senses as a leash pulls on a dog who tries to walk past the boundaries the leash allows it to go.
Blaine looked up from mixing a brown mixture in a wooden bowl. He cocked a smile. "Hey, Kurt!"
"Hey." Kurt said as he looked curiously at Blaine's concoction.
Blaine gestured dramatically to the bowl. "Brownies sounded good all day so I decided to come home and and satisfy my craving."
"Mmm... smells good." Kurt said.
