I pulled my phone out of my pocket and long with it came out a small piece of paper.

"Hobi's phone number..." I mumbled while dialling it into my phone. I don't know what was running through my mind at this point. I didn't want to see anyone overreact. Well, I didn't know if he'd overreact because I don't really know him.

"Moshi moshi!!" It definitely sounded like Hobi.

"What?" I asked, confused in what he just said.

"I just think it's cute how they answer the phone in Japan..." He mumbled.

"Oh," I replied, unsure what to say. The call was silent for about 10 seconds.

"Do you want to go on a date?" He asked out of nowhere.

"What? Where did that come from? I barely know you," I said while covering my eyes from the rain with my arm.

"You can get to know me," he responded.

"Well I guess we-" I mumbled.

"Great," he said happily, "I'll pick you up from the front of your house in about 5 minutes."

"Wait? Today? It's rainin-" and with that, he ended the call. Quickly, I ran to the front of my house as fast as I could.

I contemplated just going inside and staying home with Jin but I hate breaking promises. The sky grew darker and the rain grew heavier. This is all happening so quickly I mumbled as I watched Hobi pull up in front of my house in a cab. But I guess I need a distraction to keep my mind off things. I left the soaked groceries on my porch and jumped in the car. Hobi gave me a warm smile as I sat beside him.

"You're really wet." Hobi said while looking at me up and down.

"Excuse me?" I asked, confused. "Oh... Rain!" I mumbled mostly to myself. "I was in the rain," I said reassuringly. Just as the cab started driving I took one last look at the front door of my house. I felt guilty as Jin slowly moved away from the car window. The last thing I saw was him picking up the soaking wet groceries and walking inside.

I listened to the relaxing sounds of the rain on the car roof and the low swish of the windscreen wipers on their fastest setting. After 10 minutes of driving, the taxi came to a halt.

"This is as far as I can go," the man said while looking at us in his rear-view mirror. "The roads are flooded." Hobi thanked the man and payed for the lift.

"We'll walk from here," Hobi grabbed my hand and jumped out of the car. Yet again, I was out in the cold, pouring rain but at least this time I wasn't alone. Hobi looked down at me and squeezed my hand while the cab drove away.

"Let's go!" He yelled as he ran into the forest, situated on the right side of the road.

"Slow down, Hobi!" I yelled before he came to a halt, causing me to run into his back.

"Owch..." I mumbled while looking up at him. Hobi wasn't paying attention to me at all, he was looking up at the trees. "What is it?" I mumbled while trying to find what he was looking at.

"Do you like it?" He asked as I finally saw it. A large treehouse was sitting in the trees above us. Fairy lights were sprinkled around a small balcony that faced us. I stared at the cute house in awe as Hobi started climbing the ladder that brought us up to it. I closely followed behind him.

Hobi could stand up in the house only by a little bit but it was the perfect size for me.

"Do you come here often?" I asked while sitting down on one of the chairs. Hobi flashed me a smirk.

"No, I mean-" I sighed to myself. "You know what I mean!"

Hobi giggled to himself at the sight of me being so flustered. "Yeah, actually I come here a lot," he said while sitting on the floor.

"With jin?" I asked. Hobi shook his head in response.

"Jin doesn't know about this." He said while playing with something in his hands. "I come to this place when I'm flustered or need to calm down." He said softly while looking up at me. "And I've been coming here a lot more recently because of you." His stare alone was enough to make me feel guilty.

"Sorry," I whispered while looking down at the wooden floor.

"I don't want an apology." Hobi grumbled.

"Then what do you want from me?" I asked while looking over at him.

"I want a lot more than I can say." He said, looking at me dead in the eyes.

"What is that supposed to mean?" I asked as Hobi stood up and walked towards me.

"It means that I want to get to know you," he said in his rough, quiet voice while putting his arms on either sides of my seat. "Every single part of you," he whispered.

I held my breath as Hobi stared at me, inspecting every detail of my face before standing up and walking to the exit.

"Who even are you?" I asked before he started to climb down the ladder.

"That's for you to find out." Hobi replied with a smirk on his face.
